Guide to Passing the PSI Real Estate Exam, Fifth Edition10 reviews
Lawrence Sager

Dearborn Real Estate Education, 2004

Great Study Guide
I took the PSI Affiliate Broker exam for the first time and passed. This is a great book to review prior to taking the exam. I had a great teacher for pre-licensed 1 & 2 courses. However, I used the PSI book as a review. I took the exams in the PSI book which help me identify with my weak areas. I recommend this book for anyone who is about to take the PSI Affiliate Broker exam. Good Luck!!

Modern Real Estate Practice3 reviews
Robert Kyle, Fillmore Galaty, ...

Dearborn Real Estate Education, 2006

Very helpful.
A great book - well organized, thorough, and well-written. Nice that the authors provide a comprehensive outline of key points after each chapter. HOWEVER... One star subtracted for failure to error-check the mathematics in the practice questions. The math here is simple; there is no excuse for the publisher not taking a moment to run the numbers through a calculator.

Language of Real Estate12 reviews
John Reilly

Dearborn Real Estate Education, 2006

An invaluable reference for anyone involved in real estate
This book was required when I took that first real estate course you need to get your license. (I chose not to get my license since I'm just an investor. Not exactly relevant, but it tells you the kind of person I am and my perspetive as a reviewer.) I'm thankful because it made that course much easier. I've since taken many courses and read many real estate contracts and this book has helped ...

If You're Clueless About the Stock Market and Want to Know More (If You're Clueless)20 reviews
Seth Godin

Dearborn Trade Pub, 1997

Good general overview, but beginners need to consider...
First of all I like the way Seth writes. Hes a good writer and an expert on issues regarding the web. This particular book is fine as a general reference on the stock market, but frankly beginners will need concrete strategies to make it as online stock traders. The reality is that the stock market doesn't care if you are a beginner or not. It will gladly take your money away if you don't ...

Short-Term Missions: From Mission Tourists to Global Citizens1 review
Tim Dearborn

InterVarsity Press, 2003

Thorough cross-cultural preparation
We used this guide to prep a team of high school students going to Peru. We assigned the chapters as homework, which they completed prior to a series of bi-weekly meetings, and we spent the meeting doing the processing activities and discussing the material Dearborn lays out. The students found it useful and memorable. I found it deep enough without getting mucky, and very user-friendly. I ...

Great learning tool
I find these CDs to be a great learning tool in ccmbination with the book. This product is exactly as described, it reviews the highlights the chapters in the book. I am in the habit of listening to the current chapter on the way to class for preparation and quick review. I will often start at chapter 1 and listen to all the chapters, through to the actual chapter of study. I am determined to ...

Mistress of Modernism: The Life of Peggy Guggenheim8 reviews
Mary V. Dearborn

Houghton Mifflin, 2004

great overview of The life and times of modern art lover, Peggy Guggenhiem
This is an enjoyable read. I was interested in reading it after reading "The Rape of Euorpa" and "Duveen" it made sense to wonder what had become of the art/artists that were rescued from the WWII Nazi-occupation of Europe.

very helpful for my business
This book gave me a lot of ideas of running my business and is complementary to the general managerial studies I've made. Unfortunately, Greek universities do not offer studies in "Real Estate", and this book provided me the basic knowledge for my office.

River Rouge7 reviews
Joe Cabadas

Motorbooks, 2004

Fascinating Pictorial History
My father is an employee at this facility so I purchased the book in order to get a sense of the history and environment he works in. After reviewing the book with him (a fascinating experience), it appears very little has changed around many parts of the facility. It also made me realize just how much isn't explained in the book so having an `expert' review the historical pictures is ...
