Dearly, Nearly, Insincerely: What Is An Adverb? (Words Are Categorical)6 reviews
Brian P. Cleary

Lerner Publications, 2005

Time to learn your grammar!
These books are so good at helping kids learn the parts of speech. They give so many clear examples of sentences, with the specific part of speech in a different color so everyone will notice it. I used these in a classroom during english class and they all loved it. A+ to this book!

The Beloved Dearly17 reviews
Doug Cooney

Aladdin, 2003

I'm 42 and I Loved It!
My daughter has a list of books to read for a type of competition in her school. I order them for her at the library and she reads them. Every once in awhile I pick one up and read it to be sure they have decent content, etc. This one just looked good to me from reading the back cover and also the illustration. I read it and laughed and laughed. It was very enjoyable. It had serious moments ...

Dearly Beloved1 review
Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, ...

Dramatist's Play Service, 2006

Southern-Fried Hilarity!
A Southern wedding goes hilariously off course in this fast-paced comedy about love, marriage, sisterhood, gospel music and 300 pounds of good ol' Texas barbeque. You'll laugh all the way down the aisle! As funny to read as it is to see it on stage.

Dearly Beloved16 reviews
Wendy Corsi Staub

Pinnacle, 2003

AWESOME!
This was a well-written book and, as usual, Wendy Corsi Staub does not disappoint! The story-line was well developed, as well as the characters, dialogue and plot. It was an extremely quick read, which contained plenty of mystery and intrigue. I would highly recommend this book to any reader.

Dearly Devoted Dexter110 reviews
Jeff Lindsay

Vintage, 2006

Dexter - the killer you root for!
I am a huge Dexter fan. If you are discovering Dexter because of the TV show, you will be pleasantly surprised as the books do differ in the plot than the TV show! Dexter is the serial killer you root for, as he tracks down really bad guys and disposes of them in a way the police cannot!

Dearly Beloved: Navigating Your Church Wedding1 review
Andrew Macbeth

Seabury Books, 2007

Enthusiastically recommended for anyone planning a wedding.
Written by Andrew Macbeth (rector of the Calvary Church in Memphis, Tennessee), Dearly Beloved: Navigating Your Church Wedding is a no-nonsense guide to planning and navigating one's marriage ceremony. Chapters discuss what to expect from a marriage service, things to keep in mind when dealing with everything from wedding photography to common traditions and superstitions to money and legal ...

Dearly Departed.4 reviews
David Bottrell, Jessie Jones

Dramatists Play Service, 1998

Delightful and thoroughly enjoyable!
This is a hilarious look at the life through the lives of a quirky Southern family who just can't seem to come to grips with the passing of "Daddy Bud", the patriarch of the family. The characters are full of spunk and vigor, not to mention the dialogue, which abounds with true laugh-out-loud humor. From the holier-than-thou Aunt Marguerite to the above-it-all widow Raynelle, this play is ...

Elvis and The Dearly Departed (Southern Cousins Mysteries)5 reviews
Peggy Webb

Kensington, 2008

Elvis is alive and well. TCB Baby!
What a fun read. I found myself smiling and giggling throughout the book. I'm a huge Elvis fan. The story was fast paced and fun. I found myself jealous of Callie's shoes and her Jack. Can't wait to learn more about Champ...sounds interesting. The peanut butter and banana sandwiches are good but the book is waaaayyy better. A great introducion to a cast of characters that I can't wait to ...

Dearly Beloved (Signet Regency Romance)23 reviews
Mary Jo Putney

Signet, 2004

Intense and Engrossing:
This book starts off with an "incident" that occurs in chapter 1 that shapes the future lives of both main characters in enormous ways. The hero is "tortured" (psychologically) and the heroine is strong yet also "wounded." For those of us who like "dark characters" and intensity, plus the author's gift for writing, this is a near-perfect book. It is one of my personal favorites.

Dearly Beloved2 reviews
Anne Morrow Lindbergh

Chicago Review Press, 2003

Amazing book, wonderful author
My introduction to Anne Morrow Lindbergh was through "Gift from the Sea," a life-changing classic that I treasure and give as gifts to friends every year. "Dearly Beloved" is a meditation on marriage as well as a novel told by various characters attending a wedding. It takes place in one day, as the bride and groom and their families gather in the bride's home for the ceremony and ...

Dearly Beloved: A Treasury of Wedding Music3 reviews
Denes Agay

Music Sales Corporation, 1959

Truly a treasury
These are the songs and the arrangements I remember from the weddings of the 60's and 70's. Very accessible for the intermediate pianist, they still sound complete.

Dearly Devoted Dexter
Jeff Lindsay

RB Large Print, 2005

From Publishers Weekly Starred Review. Forensic blood-spatter analyst Dexter Morgan is a nice guy who enjoys his job, but what he'd rather be doing is killing people. In this follow-up to 2001's Darkly Dreaming Dexter, Dexter is kept from his games of "slice the slasher" (he kills only murderers and pedophiles) by a suspicious Sergeant Doakes. Luckily for listeners, Dexter still finds a way to engage in his grim specialty when a fiendish ...

Dearly Depotted (Flower Shop Mysteries, No. 3)16 reviews
Kate Collins

Signet, 2005

Review of "Dearly Depotted"
Female-Sleuth Abby Knight is fresh out of law school - by way of flunking out. She is smart and spunky. Her flower shop is named Bloomers (catchy name) and she is always scrambling for new customers so she can pay her bills. She has a knack for finding dead bodies and for solving the crime. She fantasizes about her new friend, hunky Marco Salvare, who owns a restaurant down the street from ...

The Dearly Departed20 reviews
Elinor Lipman

Vintage, 2002

An interesting and pleasant read
The Dearly Departed is an interesting novel and a pleasant enough read. As the book opens, Sunny receives word that her mother and a male companion have died, so she heads back to the small town where she grew up. It's a town where everyone knows everyone, and so she ends up having to deal with people she knew (some for the better, some for the worse) and seeing how they've changed. She also ...

The elegy, the love gone wrong of Dear Dearly Departed makes me feel sad and yet it is so beautifully written, so wry, my sadness is full of hope.--Juliana Spahr
