I'm 42 and I Loved It!
My daughter has a list of books to read for a type of competition in her school. I order them for her at the library and she reads them. Every once in awhile I pick one up and read it to be sure they have decent content, etc. This one just looked good to me from reading the back cover and also the illustration. I read it and laughed and laughed. It was very enjoyable. It had serious moments ...

Amazing book, wonderful author
My introduction to Anne Morrow Lindbergh was through "Gift from the Sea," a life-changing classic that I treasure and give as gifts to friends every year. "Dearly Beloved" is a meditation on marriage as well as a novel told by various characters attending a wedding. It takes place in one day, as the bride and groom and their families gather in the bride's home for the ceremony and ...
Dearly Beloved
Hard Shell Word Factory, 1999
Atlanta lawyer Rebecca Hobbs, disappointed in her career, returns to her hometown, small central Georgia county seat, to restore her self-esteem. Almost before she unpacks, she is presented with a challenge--how to tame thirteen-year-old twin boys who are headed for juvenile court if they don't mend their ways. Whether Reverend Frank Andrews, minister and handyman, is a help or a hindrance is a matter of opinion, but Rebecca definitely finds him ...

Intense and Engrossing:
This book starts off with an "incident" that occurs in chapter 1 that shapes the future lives of both main characters in enormous ways. The hero is "tortured" (psychologically) and the heroine is strong yet also "wounded." For those of us who like "dark characters" and intensity, plus the author's gift for writing, this is a near-perfect book. It is one of my personal favorites.

Southern-Fried Hilarity!
A Southern wedding goes hilariously off course in this fast-paced comedy about love, marriage, sisterhood, gospel music and 300 pounds of good ol' Texas barbeque. You'll laugh all the way down the aisle! As funny to read as it is to see it on stage.

AWESOME!
This was a well-written book and, as usual, Wendy Corsi Staub does not disappoint! The story-line was well developed, as well as the characters, dialogue and plot. It was an extremely quick read, which contained plenty of mystery and intrigue. I would highly recommend this book to any reader.
Dearly Beloved Friends: Henry James's Letters to Younger Men
University of Michigan Press
, 2004
Dearly Beloved Friends makes available an ample selection of James's personal and occasionally intimate letters -- many long withheld from publication -- to four men: the sculptor Hendrik Andersen, the dilettante Dudley Jocelyn Persse, and the writers Howard Sturgis and Sir Hugh Walpole. The letters reveal a warm and humorous man, far from the austere persona we usually associate with James. He clearly loved a number of those friends with a ...

Truly a treasury
These are the songs and the arrangements I remember from the weddings of the 60's and 70's. Very accessible for the intermediate pianist, they still sound complete.
