Self Development and the Way to Power

A Wonderfully Empowering Book
This is a wonderfully empowering book. Instead of being at the mercy of circumstances, this book shows you how to take charge by mastering the laws of success. The power has been within us all along - we just have to learn how to harness it, and Rogers teaches us how. I strongly recommend this book. I got so much out of it. I thought Rogers gave excellent and very knowledgeable explanations for ...

Great introductory book on Linux kernel
I bought this book three years back and still reading it. Three years back, I was an application programmer (and even today I am :-) ) but had interested in learning operating systems. I was working for a security product that was implemented in hardened Linux. During discussion with my friend, we have to discuss about system call intercept and we wanted to write a system call and intercept ...

The best written computer book I've ever read
This is quite simply, the best computer book I've ever read, and the book I wish I'd had ten years ago when I was just starting with websites. It explains PHP and MySQL and how to create even large and complicated websites clearly and concisely. Its examples are well chosen for both their practical uses and how they illustrate the concepts at hand and explained with just about the right mixture ...

Great Read for New Parents
This book was so helpful for me as a new, stay-at-home mom. It helped alleviate some of my concerns (yes, it is actually good and even necessary to let your baby have some "down time") and it also gave me some great ideas for age appropriate learning and play activities. I have a much better insight into the brain of a baby and how my little girl best learns and absorbs the world around her. A ...

it's a textbook
Okay, this is a textbook for a lower-level course in psychology of human development. It is pretty simplistic, I think. I wouldn't buy it unless it was assigned to me in a class or I was writing TV screen play and need some names and vocabulary to stick in a character's mouth.

College textbook
This is the required textbook for my developmental psychology class. Amazon was much cheaped than the school book store. It came three days sooner than I was told it would. I have only read one chapter so far but I like how each chapter has a prologue and a review of the important information. It has the key words and definitions in bold print throughout the chapter and in the margins. This ...

Life-Span textbook did the job
Just got done with my class, and used this textbook the entire session. It was in good condition. Well worth the money I paid for it. Although my instructor advised we use the most updated version, I found no deviations between the one I bought and the newest edition. It did the job perfectly. Standard textbook that was well-organized and written for new psychology students. The shipping was ...

The price was great 60. less than the college book store. So when I realised I had a dup[licate book finding a new owner was easy. Excellent book!
After enjoying Endangered Minds years ago as part of a developmental psychology class, I am now a parent myself and was anxious to read this book. I feel this book provides accessible neuroscience for caregivers who want to understand how brain development progresses and what a growing mind NEEDS as it matures. Ms. Healy provides a lot of practical information and tips, based on research and ...

You can't go wrong with this one.
I love how this book is very easy to read, yet full of valuable information about the development of your child. It cuts out the fluff of many child development books, as well as the techno-jargon of others. I just want to know (in laymen's terms) what my child is experiencing and how I can best support and guide her. This is probably not the only child development book you should have on your ...

Best Android Book I have come acrossed
I recently started reading this book and couldn't be happier. The way the author explains the Android feature set and functionality is sublime. Don't let the word "Professional" scare any of you beginners out there because this book starts explaining everything from step A. I have attempted to read other android books out there (Beginning Android 2 by Mark Murphy) and this one blows that book out ...
