A drug book that's easy to digest.
As a healthcare worker who works in a hospital, I see this book (and its various editions) on just about every floor- whether it be the cardiac floor, neurology floor, or the orthopedic floor. The point is that the scope of this book is so large and complete, that it will be a handy reference to everybody who treats patients, no matter what the diagnosis. From a pharmacist's perspective
This is by far the finest, most comprehensive text book on pharmaceutical calculations available. This is the text by which all others are judged. It is great for the student who is unfamiliar with this topic as well as for the pharmacist who could use a refresher course. It makes a great reference text for the pharmacy.

Great book to study for Naplex..
This is among the best books that I have read so far. I really liked different sections of topics covered for Naplex with format similar to Naplex. Best thing about this book is the CDROM that came with the book and has many questions in real Naplex like format with full explanations, why the answer is right or wrong. I have heard good things from many of my friends who have cleared Naplex ...

Adequate for the student of pharmacy
Well written and adequate for the student of pharmacy. However for this audience I would recommend Wilson and Gisvold's Textbook of Organic Medicinal and Pharmaceutical chemistry 11th Ed, because the figures and text are more complete providing a clearer more concise and rigorous treatment of the subject.

Well organized textbook
This text is very well organized. Every chapter starts with an overview of the relevant physiological concepts. They present a Prototypical drug for each class and then compare/contrast the other drugs in that class against the prototype. The amount of information contained in the book is overwhelming (due to the nature of the subject), but the easy to understand layout and consistent use of ...
