With The Beatles6 reviews
Pearce Marchbank

Omnibus Press - Dezo Hoffman took more pictures of The Beatles than any other photographer. He was the first professional to photograph them, and he alone documented the major events of their career - their audition at Abbey Road with George Martin, the recording of their first album, their first radio and TV shows - - 733559 - Book - - Softcover - 128 Pages - Lenght 11.5 - Width 9 - Weight 21.4 - OMNBUS, 2009

Some of the best pictures
This book is a collection of very early pictures of the Beatles, some of which we have seen on promotional material. In my opinion several of those pictures are the Beatles' best. It is also very interesting to read Dezo's comments as to where and when the pictures were taken. He was their first official photographer. Great memories, great book!

Overlook Hardcover, 2010

The next American Classic
The Life and Times of Homer Sincere Whose Amazing Adventures are Documented by His True and Trusted Friend Rigby Canfield: An American Novel Reading this book was like rediscovering Mark Twain all over again with a fine vintage wine. Incredible Tales of the Paranormal: Documented Accounts of Poltergeist, Levitations, Phantoms, and Other ...4 reviews

Bramble Books, 1995

Penetrating the Unknown
This has to be one of the most fascinating books I've ever read. The "incredible tales" are vivid descriptions of the paranormal phenomena produced by famous mediums of the Victorian era. Each chapter is devoted to a different medium and gives documented accounts of poltergeist, levitations, phantoms, and more. There is the Italian medium, Mirabelli, who materializes objects, transports live ...

Early days on the Georgia tidewater: The story of McIntosh County & Sapelo : being a documented narrative ...4 reviews
Buddy Sullivan

McIntosh County Board of Commissioners, 1991

Thought provoking
Buddy seems to get "into" the people he writes about... he gives them substance, and dimension. He brings you into each generation he writes about. You almost feel the wind on your face, and the sea at your feet, with his discriptions. He goes beyond name, date, and place. He brings you to a point where you feel you are living the times. He not only goes into detail about a person, he goes ...

Secrets of the Ancient World: Exploring the Insights of America's Most Well-Documented Psychic, Edgar Cayce3 reviews
Lora H. Little

A.R.E. Press (Association of Research & Enlig, 2003

Great Review Of The Cayce Prophecies
This books provides a great review and overview of Edgar Cayce's statements related to the origin and destiny of our human race. Things which for us today are only legends and myths have a basis in reality at some level. Maybe there really was for example a 'medussa' who had snakes of living hair. Very interesting for me was the idea that Polaris, the North Star, has become lined up with ...

Clifford E. Stone

The Book is filled with useful materials.
The book mainly contains documents related to existance of such secret projects as Majestic 12, Project Blue Fly, etc. It has a lot of declassified reports of pilots flying and sighting UFOs, detailed descriptins, etc. This book is a must read for anyone, who really wants to know what the government was up to, for the last ohhhh...50-60 years. You won't believe the stuff this book has. Best ...

Cheated: (The story of a father who would not give up his children) A DOCUMENTED ACCOUNT OF PARENTAL ...2 reviews
Ronald E Smith, Ariel D. Smith

PublishAmerica, 2007

Another great book on PAS
Yet another very good book about Parental Alienation damage the family courts allow to take place on children. I recommend reading this book together with the real life case in FAMILY COURT HELL, which is available on amazon. FAMILY COURT HELL is the author's personal battle for access to his children when faced with a hostile mother who devoted ten years of her life trying to turn the children ...

Documented Dreams4 reviews

Hispanic Institute of Social Issues, 2008

Powerful and inspiring!
Working with this population of students as a school counselor I have heard many stories firsthand over the past few years and can attest to the heartbreaking situations these youth have experienced. I have to say that the stories these brave youth share in this collection are inspirational and thought provoking. I would recommend this to anyone interested in social justice, human rights and ...

Entrancing Muse: A Documented Biography of Francis Poulenc (Lives in Music Series, No. 3.)3 reviews
Carl B. Schmidt

Pendragon Press, 2001

For inquiring minds who really want to know . . . in detail
While the exhaustive approach of Carl B. Schmidt will not be for everyone, I believe Bonnie Jo Dopp's assesment unfairly shortchanges this book, stating that "This scholarly work is recommended only for research libraries or those that own Schmidt's other Poulenc title and wish to supplement it." Rather, I believe this work is for anyone inclined to read more than one work on Poulenc, for those ...

He Who Saves One Life2 reviews
Kazimierz Iranek-Osmecki

Crown Publishing Group, 1971

Jews and Poles in WWII: A Refutation of Many Polonophobic Attacks That Still Get Repeated
Although this book was published decades ago, its information is timely because the same tired accusations against Poles, answered in this book, keep being repeated to this day. For instance, Reuben Ainsztein accused Poles of collaborating with Germans in the extermination of Jews. (At present, Jan Thomas Gross (Jan Tomasz Gross) is the most recent "incarnation" of Ainsztein). Polish Jews such ...

The Hebrew Heritage of Black Africa Fully Documented1 review
Steven Jacobs, Moses Farrar

Monami Publications, 2002

The so-called Negro has a Hebrew heritage too
Steven S. Jacob (European Jew) has chosen to inform the general public about an ancient Hebrew heritage, which exist for many West Afrikan ethnic groups. He says on pages 14-15, "We in America tend to associate the word "Jew" and "Hebrew" with White people because of our European cultural conditioning. A trip to the State of Israel would dispel this notion immediately. There you will find Jews ...

Kenneth R. Becht

Putting America First, 1997

"Just another book on Clinton?" I think not. Enlightening!
I had no idea that so many statements and promises made by Bill Clinton could be disputed. The book was easy to read and understand. This is one book that I want both my liberal and conservative friends to read.

Steven R. Schechter

Vitality, Ink, 1992

An Excellent Resource
I first came across this book several years ago while searching for ways to combat the spinal and muscular deterioration I was experiencing from radiation therapy for childhood cancer in 1954. In this substantial book, Steven Schechter has provided excellent information, backed by extensive research. Fighting Radiation and Chemical Pollutants has become a trusted resource guide for me. Unlike ...

The Golem of Prague: A New Adaptation of the Documented Stories of the Golem of Prague1 review
Gershon Winkler

Judaica Pr, 1980

Loved the Golem -- I recommend it
Whether you believe in the Golem or not, Gershon Winkler's book is enchanting. The tales he weaves, which help us to see the Maharal (Rabbi Yehuda Loewy) in a more human role, are full of Jewish folklore and kabbalistic references. I enjoyed this book immensely. I wish there was a second volume with more stories about "Yossele Golem" and The Maharal's Prague.

The Irish Republic: A Documented Chronicle of the Anglo-Irish Conflict and the Partitioning of Ireland, with ...1 review
Dorothy Macardle

Wolfhound Press (IE), 1999

Essential reading for anyone interested in Irish history
The Irish Republic by Dorothy Macardle. Published by Wolfhound Press. Price #40 hardback. "Whether the Irish Republic ever existed has been disputed not only by jurists and not only with words. For the Irish people the Republic was, for a few tense years, a living reality which dominated every aspect of their lives. its existence was a fact of human history, if not of logic or of ...
