Excellent Presentation
I have been a software developer for over 25 years, and have learned virtually all languages and technologies informally, through reading books and/or spending time with others versed in a particular discipline. Prior to purchasing this book my experience has been in traditional language development and operating systems, with only very limited HTML, CSS and web development knowledge. I ...

Absolutely the Best
I must say that Lynda is, hands down, the best instructor I've ever come across on the printed page. I've been using Dreamweaver for over two years and I learned so much from this book. The chapters and exercises were so concise, so ordered and really a lot of fun. I recommend this book whole-heartedly!

Unique material
Joseph Lowery has a love affaire with Dreamweaver dating back to 1998 and version 1.0; that's why this book is more than just an expert writing about a piece of software, Joseph is passionate about Dreamweaver and the result is a real work of love. The book contains 10 chapters, covering different topics; each chapter stands on its own, allowing the reader to pick only one topic at time, there is ...

I Loved It And I Don't Even Like This Genre of Books
I can truly say that I loved this book as well as it's sequel! The heroin, Zan Scarsdale, was believable and endearing. Karivet and Iobeh were sweet and more mature than most adults I know. Remarr's plight was very familiar to the way families work today. Ychass's wild, passionate spirit was refreshing and close-to-heart. Vihena reminded me a tad of myself, striving to be herself while others ...

Finally! An easy-to-use Dreamweaver guide
This guide is easy to use and informative. Using "normal people" language and screenshots of the different steps that he is describing, Karlins makes Dreamweaver accessible and fun. I was able to follow along with each how-to and build my website in the process. [...], is also a great companion resource to this book. There are more tutorials in web and video form that are really helpful! I ...

Extremely Good Material for Visual Learners
As a computer training professional, I've read or reviewed dozens of training books/manuals and this is one of the most effective learning sources I've found. Mr. Charuhas takes the best training method available, visual learning, and incorporates it into a really well written training book. I would highly recommend this material to anyone interested in learning Dreamweaver in a down-to-earth ...

Great for the money.
This book takes you from web-site zero through building a basic client-side only web site using Dreamweaver 8. My only critique is that it seemed like we didn't even get to actually using Dreamweaver 8 until about page 100. Before that was an intro to general web-site concepts and HTML. Anyway, it's an attractive and informative book that is priced lower than most.

Professor Says, "A+"
I'm an assoc. prof. of New Testament currently working to produce an interactive web workbook for teaching/learning skills for New Testament interpretation. I want to give students practice developing close reading skills rather than ask them simply to drill content. For a couple of years, I have had a dream for such a site, and I felt sure it was buildable, but didn't know how. I care enough ...

Pretty awesome learning tool for beginners.
First of all i would highly recommend this to any one who's somewhat new to the adobe programs and would like to see how most of the basic(and even some of the more advanced features work)tools and features work for this suite. This is NOT a reference guide! this is meant to teach people the basics and make it stick. I had purchased the Dummies book for this suite as well and that is a reference ...

I have a new favorite author!
I loved this book! I have read time travel books in the past but nobody puts them together like Kathleen Kane. She has a wonderful sense of humor and it shows in all of the strong characters that she builds. I really felt like I knew each one of them. She puts in personal details that bring the charaters to life. It's hard to find a book that really makes you laugh out loud and cry as ...

Helps you answer how-to questions you encounter on the job
Mark Gatter, the author of Software Essentials for Graphic Designers, assumes that as a graphic designer, you may specialize in one of four areas of design which are website design, vector graphics, image editing and page layout. Therefore, you will probably concentrate on those software programs that will help you in your area. But eventually, you may take on a project that will require you to ...

Save money, make money!
You'll save your time and make more money faster and sooner with this book, guaranteed. I've been struggling for months trying to get the "big picture." It's developed here in this workbook from the viewpoint of someone creating a web SITE, not a web PAGE. I'm slow and I paid $200 earlier this summer for a two-day course in Dreamweaver. It was nothing compared to this book! This book is ...

Well-written, easy to follow, step-by-step, thorough and includes many course files (so you need not construct entirely new pages/graphics/etc.). It's laid out like a textbook and the spiral binding makes it easy to keep open on the desk while you work with Dreamweaver CS3.

Heavy duty -- in the best possible way!
This book is heavy in more ways than one. For one thing, it's a big thick, glossy tome that weighs a lot. However, the good news is that it's worth its wait in gold! Never have a seen such an accessible, comprehensive aid for getting things done with Dreamweaver. It's task and tool based, with every step illustrated in color. Makes it incredibly easy to do use just about every aspect of the ...

A must have for the Dreamweaver user...
I've used this manual extensively to create my own website and I refer to it over and over again for quick reminders on the Dreamweaver application.
