Everyone Should Read this Book
What a wonderful book! Although I am an admitted 'animal person' I think everyone would (and should) enjoy reading this book for a perspective on life on our planet.

Golden Books are Awesome
I read this to our son, sadly, after he "out grew" these books, they were passed on. Happily, after searching all over I found these treasures on Amazon and now have a new collection for our beautiful grand daughter to enjoy.

What Life at the Top is Really Like--As Told By a Superb Leader
Having spent twenty-three years in management before I became an entrepreneur, I recognize that moving from one side of the desk to the other side may be the longest journey a professional person ever makes. When we shift into a leadership spot, not only do we find that our prior perceptions might have been totally inaccurate, we have to address personal and professional challenges we would have ...

Still a hit after all these years!
This was one of my very favorite books as a child and all these years later (I'm 25 now), my mother will still occasionally call and ask if I'd like to buy an elephant! :) A great book that I can't wait to share with my children one day. I had several of these "Parents Magazine Press" books as a child and they were all wonderful.

A Challenge Facing America
While I spend most of my time writing and speaking about India's role in the global economy I am always aware of the rise of China and the economic challenge that it poses to America. One of the fine works which looks at that is "The Elephant and the Dragon: The Rise of India and China and What It Means for All of Us" by Robyn Meredith, the editor for Forbes magazine based in Hong Kong. ...

Ella the elephant is ELEGANT!
Originally, my daughter borrowed this book from the library. She likes elephants and thought Ella was cute. We fell in love with Ella and her story, so we purchased our own copy...well Santa Claus did. My girls are 4 & 6, they both love the story.

Modern theatrical masterwork
I can think of few films that have touched me as deeply as Lynch's "The Elephant Man." Hence, I was prepared for an anticlimactic theater piece when I picked up the script and subsequently attended the play. To my surprise, it's every bit as powerful as the film--in no way a replacement for Lynch's supreme achievement but a necessary complement to it. Pomerance' play concentrates on Dr. ...

Inspired by Elephants' Ears
One would expect that a book written by a research associate at Stanford University on elephant communication would be boring and pedantic, but not so with Caitlin O'Connell's The Elephant's Secret Sense. The daughter of a doctor, whose earliest memories found her carrying her father's medical bag in hopes that he would use his tools to examine her ears, O'Connell grew up to study the enormous ...

Who left me out of the ýGrammar can now be amusingý loop ?!
I found myself laughing out loud as I read Bill Walsh's "The Elephant's of Style." Reminiscent of "Woe is I" this title actually entertains as it enlightens. Some of Walsh's best lines were "Split infinitives are the chicken cacciatore of the English Language" and "Who died and left me in charge of the English language?" I want to know where Bill Walsh was when I was being drilled in grammar ...

Excellent entry in the Guards Series
I know that many have stated that there had been a decline in Pratchett's writing as time goes on... I personally would have to disagree. There is a change in his writing; however I feel that it has been for the better. As his books have progressed, he has leaned less toward the quick giggle and insane rush of nonsense and more toward a satirical plot with darker edges and the giggles ...

great early reader series
My son loves the whole Elephant & Piggie series. In fact, these books are what taught him to read at age 4. They are repetitive and use short, easy words. Plus, they are hilarious. My son wants to read them each night. "I Love My New Toy" was just as funny as the rest of the ones we have. Mo Willems is the best children's author out there, in my opinion. We have all of his books, and they get ...

A Striking Case Study on Organizational Culture
Anyone who has worked in a corporation knows that an elephant is not just an animal with four legs and a trunk -- an elephant is an issue or problem standing in the middle of the room that everyone knows about but no one is willing to acknowledge or deal with. Elephants are "undiscussables" present in every organization. The size and depth of these "undiscussables" are proportional to the ...
