Listen to a well crafted story
For me there is nothing better than listening to a book on CD while chewing up a lot of asphalt during a road trip. I discovered this little gem 'Ender's Shadow, at the local library and became an addict to Ender, Bean, and the Shadow series as a result. For those of you that think you have to read or listen to Ender's Game first, don't worry Bean and his story stand up all by themselves with no ...

An O.K. Book in the Ender Series by Orson Scott Card
This is the third book in Card's "Ender" series. After finding it hard to put the first two down, the third is a disappointment. Xenocide tries to span the known universe - with plots and sub-plots taking place on several of the 'Hundred Worlds'. It drags in a lot of places and is just too long for no purpose I can discern. I'm struggling to get through it and am not sure I'll continue with ...

Yay for Ender!
Sadly, this took me ages to read. But when I finally got around to it, I was amazed and touched beyond words. On the surface, this is a fairly typical sci-fi novel, but what makes it stand out as the modern classic that it has become is the deeply felt emotion. This remembers to be a book that is about people and how we treat one another. A war is occuring, an attack on an alien species ...

books bought
I have just recently begun buying books online. I have been amazed at the quality of the "used" books. I don't believe many of the thirty odd "used-books" I recently bought were used at all; not a broken spine in the bunch There were a half dozen or so former library books- top quality, but specially wrapped book covers... This is good way to bulk up a personal library without burning a hole in ...

Great short story...
I wasn't really sure what to think of this book before I purchased it. I'm a huge fan of all of the Ender's Game books, and actually I'm currently reading Shadow Puppets. Despite being very non-religious, personally, I found it to be a great story of tradition and beliefs with that childhood touch. It brings back a lot of characters in Battle School, but mainly focuses on Zeck, the child who ...

Great book
I thought this book was a very good book, It included a good deal of exciting science. It was very well written also the text flowed and was very easy to read. Most of all it was intellectually stimulating as it discussed many complex societal issues and ethical issues with out destroying the story. All in all it is a great work of fiction that is entertaining as well as sofisticated.

Only book that has made me cry
This is the only book that has made me cry. I cried when Ender died, (although he didn't die his aiua passed on to Peter) the character of Ender died. Through the series I have gotten so attatched to his character unlike any other character in any series. Through his guilt of xenocide, and hard life it was hard to read sometimess. Especially, when he had problems with Novinha in Xenocide, ...

Good intro and review of the material
Having read a few books on time series analysis, Enders provides the best introduction to the area. The approach is simple and practically oriented. Explaining the basics of the area with limited use of math is beneficial. With this area developing so rapidly, a new, updated edition would be a welcome book on my shelf.

Good practice for Miniboards
If your school uses miniboards for anatomy and histo, you should get this book. I thought the questions were on the harder side compared to the rest of the questions on the miniboard, so I suggest going through the BRS questions and studying first before going through the Pretest questions. If you do well on Pretest, you'll do well on the miniboards. If you don't understand a question, the ...

Delightful
I was a little leery on reading this book; I finally broke down and bought it. It is a great story, and I love it. Enders Game is defiantly a book I will bring with me into a classroom setting. I am excited to use it, and hopefully others will benefit from it the way I have.

Great way to introduce your child to Ender
I read the Ender short story when it first came out (before the novel) and remembered it when I saw the novel. This collection of short stories, including the original short story version of Ender's Game is a great way to get a young teen interested in the entire set of story's as they grow.

Wonderful Trilogy
Card's prose is astounding. As the books follow Ender as he finally settles down ~3000 years after Ender's Game, Card introduces problems with multiple answers, most of which perfectly moral. These books pit stoic intelligence against caring wisdom as Ender tries to save the only planet he feels truly welcome and at home in. An excellent follow-up to Ender's Game, even for readers not too ...
