Bittersweet
You're probably wondering who the Beloved Invader is, right? The title really is the whole book, in general. Anson Dodge is a Northerner visiting the Civil-War torn South. God sort of leads him to St. Simons Island through different events. There, he falls in love with the people of this island and makes a home for himself. The people think of him as an invader, I suppose. He has to win their ...

Maria
I couldn't put this book down. After visiting St. Augustine, then reading the book, I was truly walking the streets with Maria. I saw the same building she did and have the same awe for the town as she did. I read this book in two day...I couldn't put it down. Looking for the other two books in the trilogy. Can someone help.

This book had all the answer already written in it and the previous owner wrote all about her current love life on the inside of the cover.

Enjoying Miss Eliza, yet again.
I just completed reading Savannah, for the second time. I read it many years ago and loved it then. Recently I was reading Stranger in Savannah and felt I had to go buy Savannah so I could see Mark as a young man again. I find Ms. Price's historical novels educational and entertaining. Savannah, as the Saint Simon's Trilogys, make the reader anxious for the next book about the Mackay and Browning ...

A recommended resource
Many children struggle learning and recalling multiplication facts, and need other techniques rather than rote memorization to master these skills. Eugenia Francis' workbook utilizes wonderful, brain-compatible strategies and methods to do so - such as learning to recognize and attend to patterns for the multiplication tables, using memory tricks/mnemonics, and other engaging and fun techniques. ...

Very helpful and even entertaining
I really enjoyed this book - it answered so many questions the doctors just did not go into. You hear so many horror stories of being on steroids and this put it into prospective and also gave you an idea of things to look out for. The human interest of the 2 women made it easy to relate to and easy to read and understand.

An Analysis of "Journey into the Whirlwind"
The mindset and belief system of the early Soviet Union, as defined by the Bolsheviks' neurotic obsession with the ideals of perpetual revolution and the existence of nigh-infinite capitalist and ideological foes that constantly threatened the continued subsistence of the Soviet entity, cannot realistically be classed as rational or conducive to internal stability; with nervous eyes turned ...

Boooring
I am a fan of Christmas anthologies, but 2 stories "ghost of christmas past" by Eugenia Rily and "a midnight clear" started so tedious that I have not bothered finishing those stories, or the third story "promises to keep" by Victoria Alexander.

Fabulous recipes for Italian cuisine lovers with adventurous palates
The first thing that struck me about this book is how beautifully designed it is. It's quite substantial, a good size without being unweildy. It is printed on good-quality cream colored paper with dark green ink, and nearly every page features hand-drawn illustrations. However, the proof is in the recipes. The premise of this book is that "Italian meals are structured in a way that keeps ...

Joel-Peter Witkin (Photofile)

, 2008
The classic Photofile series brings together the best work of the world's greatest photographers in an attractive format and at a reasonable price. Handsome and collectible, the books each contain some sixty reproductions, plus a critical introduction and a bibliography. With his focus on the "disagreeable beauty" of the anomalous and the transgressive, Joel-Peter Witkin's images are edgy and disturbing. Influenced by artists from Giotto to ...

romantic without being dirty, spiritual,intriguing,fascinati
Eugenia Price is a very spiritual writer with a lotof love to go around.I've read everything I can get by her and even went to her island about 4 years ago and toured around the island right down to the cemeteries where some of the characters were buried.A very fascinating book, as are all her books.

a nice change
It was nice to read something that doesn't have me trying to skip over curse words two and three times a page! I consider the entire Georgia Trilogy worth reading. The Christian background is inspiring; plus, the novels were based on the life of a very real woman (supported by indicating places of burial and names of decendants in the Afterword of each book). The Christian theme and ...

Mary Surratt: An American Tragedy
This is an excellent book. Anyone who is interested in the Civil War era and Abraham Lincoln, will really enjoy this book. Also anyone who studies the law will also find this book fascinating. This book touches on our constitutional rights and how they can be overlooked when a horrible crime has been committed and the government and the people want someone to pay for the crime. Anybody. This ...

Sushi To Go
This is a great book! It has some great designs and helps to inspire some more creativity. Will definitely be making the sushi hat as it looks great. I have studied Millinery and although some of the construction techniques are a bit more simplified I think that this will help the more inexperienced person "have a go" (people with more experience can easily use more advanced techniques if they ...

Her Island
Another great book for Ms. Price. Read the book in two days. Her story telling has a way of pulling the reader into the story. After reading the St. Simon Trilogy my future visits to her island will have a new meaning for me. I have gone to St Simon's for the last five summers and I always felt so at peace once I got there, I feel that is how she must have felt. It is the most calming and restful ...
