Nothing Is Excluded From God's Sovereign Rule
There are those who think that if a person believes in 'The Doctrines Of Grace' that this will either be a hindrance to,or completely erode ones evangelistic zeal. In truth it is a defective understanding of 'The Five Points...'(or the inability to comprehend how God can be Sovereign yet man is still completely responsible for all of his actions)that can have an adverse effect on our evangelistic ...
The Celtic Way of Evangelism: How Christianity Can Reach the West...Again

Great church model
This book promotes an effective, fruitful church model. It, not St. Patrick, won over an entirely pagan society. Contrast that with the Constantinian church model the Catholics and most Protestants use that leaves the churches vulnerable to infiltration by paganism! The other two church models that are fruitful are the Wesleyan church model and the New Testament church model.

Insightful and Thoughtful
Rick Richardson brings his experience in campus ministry and understanding of the current culture and helps readers come to a new understanding of how to communicate the message of the Gospel in relevant and meaningful ways. Key to Richardson's assessment is the fact that culture and society is changing. Many Evangelical Christians assume that there has always been one of way of presenting the ...

Easy to read overview of the task of personal soul winning
Synopsis The Art of Personal Evangelism is an easy-to-read overview of the task of winning family, friends, and acquaintances to saving faith in Jesus Christ. McRaney approached the task of evangelism from the standpoint of a well-informed practitioner. His desire was to point out the scarcity of quality evangelism in North American churches, provide a theology of evangelism, outline theories ...

Randy Newman

Full of Practical Insight
This is a great book on evangelism in today's postmodern culture. Randy Newman has much experience in evangelism and has spent years wrestling with the bible. He is well-read in philosophy, apologetics, and biblical theology, but makes it all very accessible. This, along with Metzger's 'Tell the Truth' are two must haves for the bookshelves of any follower of Jesus.

Mark Dever
Crossway Books

One of the best books on evangelism
If you want to read a very good book on what evangelism is, why we need to evangelize, and what evangelism is not, then you must purchase this book. Dever has really hit the bullseye in this book when it comes to evangelism and all the implications associated with it. Though every chapter in the book is useful and valuable the better chapters are on the contents of the gospel (chap. 2) and what ...

Sally Morgenthaler

Excellent Work!
Scholarly, to the point and well written for readers of any background. Morgenthaler makes her points, backs them up with concrete data, examples and evidence on everything she says. WE serves as an excellent roadmap for anyone either starting out or already experienced in this often poorly executed area. An excellent read.

Webber provides a corrective
In this volume, Robert Webber, Myers Professor of Ministry at Northern Baptist Seminary continues the "ancient-future" theme from previous works, the Ancient-Future Worship website, Ancient-Future Faith, and anticipates the soon-to-be-released Ancient-Future Time. In this book Webber presents a model for evangelism and discipleship-and therein lies his worthy contribution to the subject of ...

The Fruit of Prolonged Meditation
With new books on evangelism appearing almost every week, I sometimes wonder why I should read any particular one over another. (Usually it is because of the author. Rarely is it because of some genuinely new insight into the evangelistic task.) But in the case of this new work, the answer is immediately plain. It is both the absence of hype and the author's unwillingness to exalt technique. Like ...

Refreshingly Accurate
While walking in a bookstore recently, the title of this book caught my eye..."Permission Evangelism." What did that mean? Having grown up being taught formulas and stratigies to share your faith and reach those who don't have a true relationship with Christ, this book was refreshingly accurate. WE are NOT the ones who bring people to Christ. Jesus does that Himself, through the power of the ...

If the formerly mainline churches can't learn to evangelize, they're toast.
For half a century and more there has been a great divide between the churches that call themselves "evangelical" and the churches that flee in terror from that word. Stone is employed by one of the last bastions of peace-and-social-justice Christianity, Boston University. There's a statue honoring an alum, Martin Luther King, Jr., outside of the chapel. He was recruited to be their first and ...

How To Revolutionize America
Billie Graham is great. But if every person in America who claims to be a believer would follow the simple plan of Lifestyle Evangelism, and woo just one unsaved neighbor per year to Jesus, within TWO YEARS, everyone in America would be a believer! an enthusiastic book about evangalism in the early church
"Evangelism in the Early Church" by Michael Green has just been reissued, and no wonder. In a field that is usually as dry as sticks, Green is quite enthusiastic about his subject. Green makes many of the usuual points: "that probably no period in the history of the world was better suited to receive" (p 14) the gospel due to the ease of travel and the peace. That Greek was the common ...
