Very accurate and explained things I didn't understand during the Battle.
This book is a very good book about the battle. I served with the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force during this battle during Operation Phantom Fury. After returning home and seeing this book I immediately bought it. When you are on the ground even with a high level of information there are still things you don't understand and this book explained some of the things I still didn't understand even ...

Really Fun Book
Loved this little book - it reads quickly, and is a great compendium of comebacks and putdowns by the rich and famous. Good stocking stuffer for pursuers of political trivia, opponents of the politically correct, and for those like me who always say "I wish I'd said that!". I only wish it had been longer.

Seminal Book on Personal Intercession
A seminal book on personal intercession. I've used Prayer Shield as a textbook, and I've sent copies to several ministers to help them initiate prayer support for their own ministry. The concept of intercession being one of the gifts of the Spirit is ground breaking. Wagner's treatise on the different functions of intercession is vital for any serious prayer ministry. The bottom line of this ...

Bipartisanship Can Exist!
This book is written by two men who come from very different backgrounds. One is a Republican the other a Democrat, but some how they have managed to do what the House and Senate have not been able to do for years, agree! Despite their different backgrounds both Jackson and Perkins present very clear and practical resolutions to seven issues that are before the heart of every person of faith: ...

Awaken, O Church...know the signs of the times
An eye-opening account of those past decisions made in the USA by the government that has laid the ground-work for the current wars and what we can expect if we 'pull out' of Iraq. A must read for everyone who is in those generations since WWII and Viet Nam. To me, the most memorable line was where a foreign government official asks the question "Who is more prepared to fight the enemy, your ...

Classic Hagee
I really love John HAgee, though I may not agree with all his views he is an awesome crusader for Christ. Many times people disagree with and author and then classify him or her as the enemie..now that is idiotic-we all wont agree all the time! John Hagee has great sermons and great ethic as a Christian pastor-he is NOT GOD! just a pastor feeding the flock..hte sheep of the pasture of the ...
Financial Armageddon: We are in a battle for our very survival...
John Hagee
Frontline, 2008
This has been a year of global crisis. The oil crisis with its escalating prices at the gas station has created enormous stress for many Americans. Coming right on the heels of that, America is also facing an economic crisis that many are saying is similar to what happened in America just before the Great Depression. Americans are asking: What is happening?...When will it end?...and Where will it go before it ends? In Financial Armageddon, ...

both fair and fun
As an adult convert to Catholicism struggling for now five years with infertility, a non-American and the daughter of a founder of my hometown's Family Planning Association, I ordered this book wondering if it would help me sort out my mixed feelings about abortion. When it arrived my heart sank: though I had been interested in the topic, it looked long enough to remind me of the ...

Great book on environmental efforts, relationships in Bolivia
I have to say, I'm envious of Bill Powers' writing abilities and his experience in Bolivia. Thanks to his detailed descriptions of character conversations, speeches, emotions, reactions, etc., I feel like I could easily recognize any of his Conservation International colleagues - Salvador, Smithers, Len - if I saw any one of them on the street...or deep in the Bolivian jungle. I did wonder ...

Well worth the Geld
This has become my primary reference for the Eggmuhl campaign. It has a good section on the backround to the war and the battles through 22 April are well described. The battle and campaign maps are good. Gill's narrative is more objective in tone than his also excellent With Eagles to Glory. His research is comprehensive, and his oobs (some 50 pages worth with three sets) may be the best ...

I've always admired the work done by UPS drivers . . . in addition, I've always been impressed by how well employees at Starbucks go about getting coffee to the vast numbers of people who enter their stores each day. Other businesses come to mind, too, including Gap, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and Apple stores . . . they're all covered in Alex Frankel's PUNCHING IN, an engaging and ...

Antidote to Jeremiah Wright
For those interested in knowing the origins of Christian antisemitism, as well as the modern-day cure to this age-old disease, this book is an excellent tutor. As other reviewers have stated here, the discussion herein is quite calm and collected. It is filled with fact and history, and contains no hyperbole or exaggeration whatsoever. It's too bad that the supposed saint Obama evidently never ...

John Gill
Frontline, 2008
In the second volume of this epic work, John H. Gill traces Napoleon's progress as he sought to complete his victory over the Habsburgs. The war had erupted on April 10th with Austria's invasion of Germany and Italy. After just two weeks, Napoleon had battered the Habsburg Archduke Charles in a series of bruising defeats. This volume begins with a Napoleon astride the Danube at Regensburg. He faced a critical strategic choice - whether to ...

A Deeper Understanding of Humanity and a Call to Action
The title of this book's first chapter, "Always Speak the Truth," sums up Jan Egeland's ethos. A call for transparency, an area where leaders often fail their citizens and the world, is what awakened me to Egeland's gift as a humanitarian worker following the Indian Ocean Tsunami in late December of 2004. Never in speeches or his writing, do I sense that Egeland equivocates to cover up hidden ...
