Used but almost new
I recommend the store, because the used book came without highlights and it wasn't thorn. It was a really good purchase, low price , good quality. Recomendo a todos a loja, pois o livro não estava com marcador de texto e não estava rasgado em nenhuma parte. Confiem na loja, pois era um dos preços mais baixos, contudo o livro veio em excelente estado, recomendo a todos. Nota para os ...

First Rate coffee table book
This book is a masterpiece. It is fantastically designed. It has the best possible illustrations and photographs. Also it's full of excellent quality information, so it's quite educational too. I'm satisfied with it. The binding seemed adequate. It hasn't fallen apart yet. It's the best coffee table book I've ever seen.

Excellent reference
This books gives excellent information on care for a long list of perennials, including the effects of cutting back, how often to divide, etc. (Note that her sub-title has to do with pruning.) This level of detailed information is often hard to find elsewhere, and if you can find it at all, you generally have to consult many sources. My only complaint is what's up with the bearded irises? She ...

A GOOD SOURCE OF INFORMATION
This book was recommended by a friend who has used it to help him successfully grow carnivorous plants. It is very informative and probably the best source of information on the topic. It has been most useful to me in starting my own "savage garden".

one of my childhood favorites
I have had this book since early high school and it's still one of my favorites 10 years later. I re-read it once every few months. The love story tears at my heartstrings and the coming of age storyline is one that can hit close to home

It really puts it all together
I've read too many books on composting. I've studied biodynamics, permaculture, organic - trying to find a coherent system that makes sense to me. Seems like lots of things work, from lasagna gardening to double-digging - in some places. But not others. Compost happens: But not always. Starting out fresh on a new-to-me 10 acre farm this year, I've been struggling to find a coherent ...

A "MUST" for any gardener's library!
I usually don't write reviews unless a book is extraordinarally good or bad. This book is an excellent and indispensable source to any and all gardeners, landscaper's, growers, etc., professional and laymen alike. I have a degree in horticulture and go to this book more than any other. When friends ask for help on insect and disease control, I usually find it in this book and recommend it to ...

My hands-down favorite book about gardening with children!
I have many books about gardening with children, and this is my hands-down favorite. It is brimming with joy and enthusiasm that is guaranteed to inspire you to find a piece of earth for your children to garden. Sadly, I live in one of those modern suburban neighborhoods with postage stamp sized yards, but there is a very inventive chapter on container gardening that inspired me to look for ...

Fun with Great Vocabulary Words
I purchased this book after hearing about Fancy Nancy from a friend of mine who is a second grade teacher. This is our first Fancy Nancy book and it was a hit with my three year old daughter. I know some reviewers of Fancy Nancy find her to be pretentious and materialistic because they say she looks down on others who are not as creative and fancy as she is, and they don't want to expose ...

Excellent
I had the luxury of reviewing this book before I bought it from a friend of mine. In fact, she had used it for years and lent it to me when I planted my first container tomatoes and peppers. The information was very straightforward and the pictures were very good and helpful. I'm a beginner gardener and my friend is a veteran and we both love it. The book not only lists vegetables and how, ...

got my money's worth in one season, for just one technique from this book
The Library journal review does a huge disservice to this book. Imagine a beautiful, highly productive, virtually weed-free, drought-resistant, inexpensive, low-maintenance and ecologically sound garden bed in your yard. It sounds impossible, but it is very simple and only requires a few hours to create this fall, no digging required. You can put to use the bounty of leaves and/or ...
