Wonderful Photos and Descriptions of a Great Breed
I thought this book was a wonderful guide to the breed; the last 1/2 of the book consists of standard guidelines applicable to any breed. The first half has beautiful pictures of representatives of the breed and gives forth knowledge of their specific personalities. I especially love the dog on the cover of the book.

Great Book for anyone thinking of owning a GSP or adopting
We love our adopted shelter GSP dog and when were thinking of one, we bought this invaluable book. Excellent information, characterization of the breed and written with humor. This book is for current owners and potential owners. We love our dog and use this book as a reference when we have questions on him. This book accurately described his temperant, needs and how to care for him.

the gentle giant
I thought this book was extremely informative and accurate. There are not that many books about mastiffs available and I thought this book gave many details, especially about puppy care and what to expect. I would definitely recommend this book.

A very informative starter book...
Ms. Brown has a nice beginner book for a very "special" breed of dog. The JRT isn't for everyone and it is unfortunate that their popularity is such that they are purchased first and "dealt with" later. This book goes a long way to help diffuse possible tense situations that previous pet owners might now have encountered. These dogs are not you average Muffy and Skippy dogs. I recommend it!

This book, i felt is the best book for the person thinking of getting an APBT it outlines proper care and grooming of these dogs and the fulfillment that can be achieved by taking proper care of your wonderful pets, my only problem was that it didnt outline the temperaments that some of these dogs posess and dangers associated with a dangerous untrained animal. Jacqueline O' Neil did an ...
