Thumbs up from a teacher
I teach eighth grade Language Arts, and I'm always on the prowl for books that will engage young boys to read. I picked this up on a whim, and I'm very pleased. This anthology has a little bit of everything in it: fiction, non-fiction, illustrations, cartoon strips -- the works. The shorts cover a wide-range of topics from the silly to the dead-serious. In short, there's something in this ...

Accidental discovery.
Shoo Fly guy is a cute little story about a boy and his pet fly. The boy goes on a picnic and the fly tries to find him. My daughter liked following his fly patterns and the stuff he visits. I was a little concerned about one incident where he goes by a road kill frog. But she is fascinated by death for some reason(we lost a cat) so it didn't bother her. On thing she did like is where ...

Corporate arrogance gone amok
When one reads 'The Smartest Guys In The Room' there is one question that keeps recurring. How did no-one at Enron foresee the company's grizzly demise. The folly of mark to market accounting was reason enoough to expect certain problems, but the endless treadmill that Enron placed itself on concerning the stock price made those problems an inevitability. Although Elkind and Mclean portray the ...

From a Red Sox's fan view...
Even though I am a diehard Red Sox fan, I absoulety loved this book. It was funny, out-rageous, informative, honest, everything you could possibly want from a sports book. And yes, I almost tore the book into when Pearlman gave a detailed account of Game 6.

Everything I wish I would've learned growing up.
This book is everything the other reviews say and more. This book is the blue print for us men to reclaim ourselves from society and families that have restrained and "tamed" who we really are. This book provided a road map for the maze of finding myself. I wish I had found this book 10 years ago. For example the book gave me perspective and some answers regarding: confidence, relationships with ...

Hooray indeed!
My 6 year old son and I loved this new addition to Tedd Arnold's Fly Guy series. When Buzz's football team is short a player, his pet Fly Guy tries to help out. But can a fly really play football? I won't spoil the ending (which had my son rolling on the floor laughing), except to say that Fly Guy helps score the winning touchdown in the big game using the kind of trick play you'd expect to ...

Buzzzzz...
Fly Guy is so cute. A fly cute? Well, he is. He's drawn that way as only Tedd Arnold can. I love his pictures as they all have that same uniqueness to them. You can always spot a Tedd Arnold book. Fly Guy has an owner named Buzz and he says his name all the time. Who wouldn't want a pet that says your name? My kids really enjoy this book. It's simple yet innovative. How many of us wish we ...

Perfect for young boys
I did a fair amount of research and purchased two books that I hoped would be appropriate to give to my son sometime after he turns 12. After reading the first book (which I have reviewed elsewhere) I was very disapointed and discouraged. When I read the next book, though, the book by Mavis Jukes (who I did not even realize is a woman until my wife point that out to me later), I was quite ...

THIS IS A GREAT BOOK
I have not read any Koontz for a while. This one caught my eye so I decided to order it. I have the hard copy. I couldn't put this book down. I loved the characters, the plot, the story and most of all the hero. From cover to cover i could not put this book down. By far one one of the best books in my collection!

superb early reader
"Super Fly Guy" is a great early reader book. It's fun and silly while still remaining a reasonable read for about a level 3 reader. I also love "Hi Fly Guy" and "Shoo Fly Guy". I only wish I could find more books of this quality at this level.

Great early reader!
It's tough to find books at my son's reading level that excite him. The fly guy books always fit the bill. With silly boy humor and a well laid out text for early readers I recomend these books to all of his friend's parents.

It is what it is and it's GREAT! HA... perfect for the "cool" guy too!
Man, I wish I had this dvd for every guy that thinks yoga is for whimps, or for that "other" guy! This dvd is what it says it is... no doubt about it. It's plain and simple... no funky terms that you won't understand and no crazy postures that you "regular" guys can't get into! Plus, the book is great too... very to the point. However, if you're looking for any kind of spiritual enlightenment, ...

I've known the guy that I am attracted to for about 17 months. He is quite shy and is a very private person. I find myself particularly attracted to him. The big age and culture difference is a bit concern for both of us. In the last 7 months, I've tried all my tricks try to impress him like sending him gifts, writing him love letters and cooking for him. My hard work has not improved anything ...

One of the best books on understanding the sexes
I've been involved in self awareness work for 29 years. The relief I find by understanding Divine Masculine and Feminine energies is tremendous. It has given me the clarity to know what serves me best in intimate relationship, how I can best serve my partner, and how we can keep passion and love alive. I wish this book was given to every girl when she turned 16 as a "rite of passage" tool. As ...

A Great Read!
The strategies offered in this book are very insightful. The fact that the strategies are backed by an incredible amount of research with real-life, successful, nice guys makes it all the more compelling. As an 18 year entrepreneur, I recongnized many of the things that I wished I had known about myself and my coworkers long ago. A fantastic read!

A must read book for investors
I consider this book to be a must read when you invest. The approach to investing that they recommend is very simple and is the best group of ideas I have come across yet. Their chapter on mistakes to avoid is critical reading, every time I have neglected their recommendations it has cost me money. This chapter alone is worth many times the price of the book. In today's highly volatile market ...
