Teach like your hair is on fire
This book is enjoyable and very easy reading. The stories are delightful, and there are great take-away lessons for teachers. The book is geared more for elementary school teachers, but as a high school teacher, I found it useful.

Marketing
This book is a wonderful tale about a boy and his turtle fighting through bad weather to make it to the North Pole to see Santa Claus and get him his wish list before its too late. Who am I kidding? That would be stupid. This is an amazingly interesting book that makes it very easy to learn Marketing. I would reccommend it to anyone takign Marketing or wishing to learn on their own.

Great Book for dealing with Curly Hair
This book is extremely instructive re: curly hair. It tells you how to properly clean, condition, and style the three main types of curly hair. It also offers recipes for home-made hair-care products so you can save a few dollars. I have used all the recommendations, including one or two of the home-made products and my very curly hair is manageable and looks great! I definitely recommend the ...

A Speaker's Guidebook
An excellent text for novice public speakers. I've found it particularly helpful for students who are unfamiliar with public speaking. The tabs make it an easy reference guide to tailor a speech to your personal topic. For people who are experienced, or who have never given a public speech, there is invaulable information about audience analysis, presentation, and the basic construction of a ...

Essential book
The word is that people fear public speaking more than they fear dying, so this book is for any of those people. These tips help get anyone ready to not only get over their fear of speaking, but to command audiences. There are excellent tips for giving a presentation and using PowerPoint. Being able to master these two can give anyone a one-two knock out punch for public speaking.

Notaro in fine form
I always enjoy a good laugh at Notaro's expense. I've read most of her other essay collections and usually find them good for at least an "I can so relate" chuckle, and sometimes even a full-on laugh out loud moment. Flaming Tantrum definitely had some hilarious moments, and a few that fell flat. For the most part, it was a fun read. There was that one chapter about a dying dog - seriously - that ...

DFW, Fiction and DFW and Fiction
Okay, so here's the deal w/ DFW: the guy is extremely intelligent. he is also overtly aware of his intelligence and displays it all over the place. this bothers people. some things to remember and know about DFW: he was a philo. major as an undergrad; his first book was an investigation of the theories of ludwig wittgenstein, also an overly intelligent fellow and very hard to follow. Something ...

Thankyou Ms. Tarpley and Mr. Lewis
I recommend this book for all little girls of color. This includes biracial and adopted girls who can also become quite conflicted about their amazing locks. Even though they may be surrounded by friends and immediate family with similar hair, sometimes they stop seeing the rich beauty of their own hair. They start comparing themselves with their family members with different hair. This ...

Why I love this book
Although some of the hairstyles are a tad trashy, most of them are really lovely. They're explain step by step, and each step and a coloured photograph and instructions. I would recommend this book to people who have a basic knowledge of hairstyling. They dont teach you how to blow dry your hair perfect or exactly how to tease hair so you'll need to know just a bit to start out. The ...

I found this book to be so easy to read with practical useful advice on creating a life that you want. It was inspirational at the same time, making me reaffirm my beliefs that one can accomplish whatever one puts one's mind to.
