The Anger Management Sourcebook8 reviews
Glenn R. Schiraldi, Melissa Hallmark Kerr

McGraw-Hill, 2002

Excellent Anger/Stress Management Resource
I found this book to be extremely helpful and user-friendly for a range of target audiences, both academic and non-academic. It could be used not only in anger/stress management courses, but also as a self-help book for adults or even teens. Unlike a lot of other anger/stress management resources, this book creates a program that moves from basic principles to skills-building to application in ...

Spitfire Wingman from Tennessee3 reviews
James R. Haun

Stormwatch Press, 2006

Fortunate Few
I had the good fortune of personally meeting Col. James Haun in his later years. Still a formidable man and quite handsome, I was struck by the sparkle in his eye and his dashing demeanor. At the time, his memoirs had not yet been published, but as I read them recently in "Spitfire Wingman" I could envision this dashing young pilot and all the daring adventures retold his his book. This is a ...

Hallmarks of the Southwest (Schiffer Book for Collectors)7 reviews
Barton Wright

Schiffer Publishing, 2000

Best encyclopedic collection of marks ever organized for Native American hallmarks
This book is a must have for the serious collector of Native American jewelry. This compilation is broad and attributes many makers to their nation of origin. There are names, initials, and pictographs, with an assortment of unknowns as well. This book is worth its weight in gold!

Encyclopedia of American Silver Manufacturers (Schiffer Book for Collectors)10 reviews
Dorothy T. Rainwater, Martin Fuller, ...

Schiffer Publishing, 2003

Useful for the amateur archaeologist/house restoration hobbyist
I got this book through inter-library loan on the advice of an online silver seller and hobbyist? expert? We are restoring an 1800s farmhouse in New York state, and have found various bits of silver and pottery and other things. Everything is quite worn and dirty from being underground for decades. I did a number of online searches but it was this book which enabled me to identify, just in the ...

Hallmark Keepsake Ornament Value Guide, Second Edition: 1973-20069 reviews

Bangzoom Publishers, 2006

A Good Resource
This guide is very useful for determining insurance values for a person's ornament collection. It is not as useful for determining sale prices as sale prices almost never equal value guide prices. It is easy to use and has good pictures of virtually every ornament and merry miniature Hallmark has produced. I highly recommend it to any serious collector.

The Little Book of Mexican Silver Trade and Hallmarks3 reviews
Bille Hougart

Tbr International, 2006

Excellent Resource of Mexican Marks
Over 200 pages of Mexican silver marks. The pictures are clear of the actual mark on the silver. Has a brief history under the makers name when available. Would buy this book again.

Troubleshooting Cisco IP Telephony (Networking Technology)3 reviews
Paul Giralt, Addis Hallmark, ...

Cisco Press, 2002

Good overview of the tools available.
I have to admit that this is not a book that I have read cover to cover. I have dipped into it to cover topics listed in the CCIE voice exam. I have found it to be very useful in that respect. For each topic it gives an overview and brief details on configuration before going on to explain how to troubleshoot problems. It will not replace the troubleshooting resources available on CCO, but it ...

English Silver Hall-Marks: Including the Marks of Origin on Scottish & Irish Silver Plate, Gold, Platinum & ...1 review

Foulsham, 2004

An essential reference for silver collectors
There are two books on English silver hallmarks available on Amazon, the other being Pocket Ed. Jackson's Hallmarks, and of the two books, this is my favourite. Both books are almost identical in content: both provide illustrations of English, Irish and Scottish silver, gold and platinum hallmarks, and illustrations of the more important makers marks, which allow for the dating of silver, gold ...

The Tall Book of Nursery Tales8 reviews

HarperCollins Publishers, 1992

Best Nursery Tales book ever
I agree, this book needs to be back in print. It's been handed down in my family for more than 50 years, and was always my standard new baby gift, too. Now my daughter is having her first child and I can't buy it! The shape of the book is easy for little hands to manage, the pictures memorable, and the stories are told well and brief; perfect for the pre-schooler it's designed for. There's not ...

It's Not Menopause ... I'm Just Like This (Maxine's guide to Aging Disgracefully)1 review

Hallmark Licensing,Inc., 2003

The "humor" of an aged female
While the focus is on the thoughts and feelings of the elderly woman with the attitude that her age has earned her the right to be cranky, everyone else will understand and enjoy the humor. Using cartoons with captions, the developers capture the "humor" of growing old. Some example captions are: *) It's scary when you start making the same noises as your coffeemaker. *) I think I must be ...

American Silversmiths and Their Marks: The Definitive (1948) Edition (1948 Edition)3 reviews
Stephen G. C. Ensko

Dover Publications, 1983

A very useful reference
For the time period covered (1650-1850) this is a very useful, almost exhaustive reference. I turn to it when I need to identify a hallmark, and find the illustrations to be very helpful. I thought it was a good buy.

All About Antique Silver with International Hallmarks4 reviews
Diana Sanders Cinamon

AAA Publishing, 2006

Antique Silver & International Hallmarks
I expected a book on how to price antique silver, but found so much more! This book covers everything from the history of silver itself to the different construction methods, artistic styles, and the numerous international hallmarks. I could not put it down. It has pictures and illustrations on almost every page, and the information is written in a clear concise style. As the author claims on ...

The Joy of a Peanuts Christmas: 50 Years of Holiday Comics!3 reviews
Charles Schultz

Hallmark Books, 2000

WONDERFUL COLLECTION OF PEANUTS X-MAS STRIPS
I picked up a copy of this book from a garage sale last summer. I believe it was only sold through Hallmark stores originally. This little hardcover provides a sampling of Charles Schulz' Christmas strips that he did over the course of five decades. Each decade has its own section: 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's and provides dated strips so you know exactly which day and year they came ...

Talk to the Tail 'Cause the Whiskers Ain't Listening: A collection of undomesticated pet cartoons1 review

Hallmark Books, 2003

Talk To The Tail
Great little book. That author really knows cats, as does the illustrator. Found this book in a Vet's office, and had to have one for my own library.
