Wonderful book on a neglected aspect of Hugo.
After viewing Hugo's art displayed at his home, I was surprised at the lack of material I could find to read about it. This book has been a great find for me, and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in Hugo or the history of modern Western art.

A wonderful glove story.
The book is a work of art the way the differently shaped pages are put together. The colors are very homey and sweet. Our children loved the book because it's really written for them. The author understands how important it is to a child when something like a scissor is "my size." Or when they get their own work table next to Mom's, or their own chore tailored to a special talent they ...

PURE PORCELAIN PLEASURE!
As a collector of fine antique porcelains, I was eager to own this book, and delighted when it was finally delivered! The artistry of painting on porcelains has been presented before in other publications, but "Hand Painted Porcelain Plates: Nineteenth Century to the Present" provides a new benchmark in terms of both text information and illustration. With superb photographic technique, ...

Sweet and educational
This is a gentle book, both the words and illustrations, which guides the reader through the process of making a traditional Navajo rug. Told from the goat's perspective, humor is interwoven with facts. My 5 year old wants to add that the goat ate up some of the flowers the weaver had collected when she wasn't looking. The last page states: "This is a true story of a weaver and her goat who ...

Man and God
This is a beautiful book, replete with high-quality illustrations and in-depth studies of all the works displayed in the 2007 exhibition it illustrates. It is a treasure trove of information on early Flemish painting, stressing technical as well as stylistic details, recalling the historical context of every work and showing how the image of man was, little by little, superseding that of god. ...

Beautiful book
I bought this book because I had picked up a nice piece that was marked by this maker and I needed to identify it. The book is pricey but it has lots of beautiful pictures and good information. I did not find my exact piece but I did find the pattern so it was very helpful. It has good information which tells you how to date the piece by decoding the mark on the bottom. I may not use this ...

Breuil (in French, with translation), we see here photos (in black & white) and descriptions of 34 paintings that Douglas Mazonowicz screen-painted by hand. Awesome Stained Glass Patterns!!!
I am amazed at how real-looking these designs are. There are so many to choose from, over 100+ -- I know they'll keep me busy for a long time. I am so glad that someone is offering full-size stained glass patterns on CD, so I can print them out myself! These are great, and I've decided to collect the whole series of 11, I think, and create my own pattern library. Awesome!!!

Best Bible for very young children
We used this so much each night that we kept having to stick pages back in! Excellant for very young children. Short Bible stories and pictures for the children to look at. We used it until our oldest was 3years then moved on to "My Story Bible", again by Karine. An author we trust to be true to God's word and reformed in text.
