Finally available, the legendary stage magic books for the CIA
Stage magician John Mulholland wrote this pair of manuals for the CIA in the early 1950s. All copies were believed to have been destroyed, though stories of the sleight of hand and secret communication documents have carried down through the decades. One copy of each manual were discovered though, and now declassified, appear here in print. It's an interesting book for both the stage magic and ...

A Lifetime Of Home Spun Facts, Humor, Lore, And Love
I bought the new and updated Encyclopedia of Country Living, (ECL) by Carla Emery about a year ago at a local book store. This book simply put is a total outline of just about every aspect of country living that one could possibly surmise. Whether it is a recipe for dandelion wine, or the basics of a home made out house you are in the need for, or just curious about, you will find it talked ...

Inspiring and Useful for Writers
This book was recommended to me when I enrolled in a creative writing workshop. I've never tried my hand at writing, though I've often thought about it, but I was plagued by fear of my own inadequacies and any number of neurotic thoughts. This book was like a best friend lovingly holding my hand, cheering in my corner, and handing me a stiff gin and tonic when I most needed it. Anne Lamott is ...

Get this for yourself AND your partner.
I was looking for an instruction guide and found it in Red Hot Touch. Not only do the techniques lead to amazing erotic pleasure, they are also very calming, very relaxing--if that's what you are looking for. What I liked most was the straight forward approach--always a plus--that this book has and it's one of the best instruction guides on the market, and I've perused quite a few in my time. So, ...

Very informative and helpful!
I spent weeks in constant pain due to muscle tension in my neck, shoulders and back. Physical therapy, chiropractic care and drugs were not showing any lasting affects. That is when a co-worker recommended this book. He lent me his copy, and after looking through it, I was hooked. I always knew I had "knots" but had no idea how they caused referred pain until seeing it for myself. I bought a ...

Not ALL about boogers
This is a great book for kids, boys especially, to read during those prescribed 15 or 20 minutes of reading time per night. It's fun and informative and not everything is about boogers.

Loads of Fun!
I bought this book for my 9 year old cousin's birthday gift. This is a kid who can rattle off all the Yankees starters and clings to his Nintendo DS like it's the only thing keeping him alive. He unwrapped it and tossed it aside. "Fail", I sighed to myself. A few hours later when the party had calmed down he started flipping throgh it. "Whoa, invisible ink!" were the first words out of his mouth. ...

This is the second printing of this edition . It has all the corrections. It was a little more in price, but the cheaper ones were not the corrected printing. I am using this for all my term paper's so it was important to me that it was corrected. The ring binding makes it easier to lay flat then the bound editions.

Education for Dummies
Once in a while we get a little smug. We think we know all there is to know about all there is to know.My Daughter bought a copy of AN INCOMPLETE EDUCATION about 20 Years ago and I never have read it "page to page"...But anytime I open the cover I learn something in spite of my Dummy mentality. For example in my edition I just randomly flipped open to page 251 to find a Greek Literature ...

A drug book that's easy to digest.
As a healthcare worker who works in a hospital, I see this book (and its various editions) on just about every floor- whether it be the cardiac floor, neurology floor, or the orthopedic floor. The point is that the scope of this book is so large and complete, that it will be a handy reference to everybody who treats patients, no matter what the diagnosis. So if you're looking for a small, ...

The Best Modern Survival Guide --PERIOD!
Foreign Enemies And Traitors I read this book in one non-stop session. It is the best modern survival guide I've read, by far. It's not oriented to a total grid-down (no electricity, forever) where you must already be living in a remote mountain fortress to survive roaming bands of cannibal biker zombies. Yes, that could happen, but it is far more likely that the USA will experience ...

I bought this book after discovering Bryan Peterson's PPSOP photography school (from youtube!) and came away entirely impressed by the way he explains concepts in simple and do-able ways. I bought this workbook because my therapist asked me to get it to help with our sessions. So far, it's been helpful. I would suggest writing your answers in a separate notebook, though. You wouldn't want others to read your inner most thoughts.
