Excellent quick reference
This book is a great lab coat reference for troubleshooting common problems after cardiac surgery. It is well organized. Some of the information in this (and many other books) might become somewhat dated with new ACLS protocols being released, so choose with caution.

The cardiac catheterization handbook is the essential reference for the cardiac cath lab. The book covers a wide range of topics including the cath lab organization, hemodynamics, electrophysiology, angiography and interventions. There are some great diagrams that compare catheter shape and radiographic views which are very helpful for those new to cath lab.

perfect book for my orientation to CV-ICU
I began my preceptorship as a nurse in a small open heart ICU with this book as my reference. It was suggested to me by one of our surgeons who told me that if I could read the whole book I could do his job. I have studied the book extensively and it has become my most valuable tool in learning my new job. I highly recomend it for anyone working in cardiovascular surgical units!
