Best Book in the entire medical field
This is probably a redundant review since all the reviews are 5* reviews, but I'll give you my perspective. This is the third copy of this book I own, the other two being previous editions. If I could own only one medical book, this would be it. While it has grown ~ 500 pages since the last edition I own, it's all good. Every topic is covered both succinctly and authoritatively and kept up to ...

wait, there's more
Lexi-Comp's Drug Information Handbook is the bomb. No nagging adds like the PDR; just the facts, ma'am. More eye friendly than previous editions, and still packed with about a gillion tables in the appendix. Drug names are now in red. This is the cat's meow; I probably use it once a day in patient care. Shipping and price are much better through Amazon than through the publisher.

Indispensable reference
As a hospital pharmacist, this is the book I have at my side at all times. Gives important information on infusion rates, stability, and usual dosages and concentrations. This information can be found elsewhere of course but I have been accustomed to looking here first.

Excellent clinical resource
I fell upon this book while in graduate school. Though this book was not required for any course I was taking at the time, i bought it anyways for my own persnoal knowledge (for the price you can not go wrong). At the time, I was working in a psychiatric hospital and wanted to learn as much as possible about psychotropic medications, the disorders they treat and the neurobilological aspects of ...

This is a fantastic resource and basically the bible of trigger point study. It is the fisrt emerically backed study that scientifically shows the benefits of massage therapy and specifically trigger point therapy. It is a valuable two volume set to have to reference.

So helpful!
My sister is 39 had was diagnosed with FTD, probable Pick's Disease. My mother is her full-time caregiver and I gave this to her for Christmas. She said it's the most helpful, interesting book she could imagine on the subject. It's great to know you're not alone when there's such little information available!

great resource!
I used this book on a medical humanitarian mission to Africa because I didn't want to lug my huge textbooks around. It was the perfect size to fit in my carry on and fanny pack. The material was clear, concise, and up to date. I used it every day of my trip, and would recommend it to physicians or other health care professionals.

good book for those writing their dissertation and other papers
we used this book as part of a class i was taking. i am so glad that the professor picked this one out! the beginning of the book gives you the building blocks, and the later chapters help you put it all together. i realized that a lot of people who help you with proofreading don't really look for some of the organizational items that the author stresses. i reccommend this book for any ...

I refer to "In a Page" all the time
As a practicing podiatrist for 25 years I finally found a book that quickly and thoroughly gives me the current medical information that I require in evaluating my patients co-morbidities. I refer to "In a Page Medicine" all the time. I have a copy in both my offices!

Great Images
This book is great and I love the pictures. I am studying for my 10-year recertification and have looked at quite a few of the other books out there, and this book wins, hands-down. The chapters are well-written and the illustrations are great.

Rates a 20 on the VAS!!
I found this book so helpful to me in my practice, that I bought a second copy - leave one in the office, and one at home so that whenver I need a reference, it is right there. Margo and Chris have provided those of us interested in pain managment with a jewel - this book just has it all. And they generously allow you to photocopy patient education materials. It is the best thing out there. My ...

A Light in a Sea of Despair
I undertook a two-year very brutal drug treatment for HCV, and was recently miraculously cleared of the disease. There were times I felt like giving up, but relied again and again on the encouraging information I gleaned from this book. It is informative, well-written, and emotionally supportive. My Doctor wanted a copy too, since sadly, there is little information availible in the medical ...

Best pocket anesthesia book available
I carried Mass Gen around for a year before someone introduced me to this book. Now Mass Gen is collecting dust and I've almost worn the cover off this one over the past 2 years. There is no wasted space or wasted print in this book. It is concise and easy to navigate. There are tables where it is necessary, and comparisons where they should be. It lists virtually all of the basic agents ...
