Science's golden hour has arrived:
Dr. Sharma brilliantly explains about a paradigm in medicine that is more important than germ theory. He explains a unifying cause for diseases like heart disease, diabetes, cancer and even the wrinkles on your skin. If the products and technologies he has researched as a pathologist were drugs or machines this would be headline material for every paper. A must read to make sense of what the ...

Why Five Stars Aren't Enough
Eureka! I have found it! This is one health book that is OFF THE SCALE GREAT! There are a lot of health books available these days that I find interesting. But this is one of those very rare books that seems to have been written by Nature itself. (How appropriate the title: Awakening Nature's Healing Intelligence). It is, as if, modern scripture. Like the petals of a flower which blossom ...

This Book Chose Me
Every time I walked to and from work, this book's cover would catch my eye from the store window. Curiousity finally won out and I picked up a copy. I am so glad I did. It's amazing! The "War and Peace" of science fiction.
I still remember being intimidated by this book when I was in grade school. You see, Asimov was what "smart people" read. I also remember the summer that I read the entire trilogy, it was the first time that I was completely immersed in a satisfying, intelligent, alternate reality. Epic, is the only way to describe this opus. Starting in a Galactic Empire that is starting to slip into ...

Applied Framing!
Applying decision-making models to this great story was a very creative approach to writing an engaging book. It was great to read as the characters worked through the construction of a model, reviewed the outcomes and then learned from their mistakes and biases. The application of these concepts helped make them fun to learn and easier to use. Some of the exercises are good for independent ...

Excellent account of Indian musicians
It is ironic that a country which equates musical sound, naad brahma, with God, has little literature in english on musicians. Between two Tanpuras by Vaman Deshpande is a welcome addition to the miniscule literature on Indian classical musicians. The book is based on the impressions created by musicians whom the author encountered in his musical journey. Little known facts about the doyen of ...

This book provides great fun to color and learn the story of the exodus out of Egypt. It's perfect for home-schoolers, teachers, churches, Sunday Schools, and families with kids of all ages. I sent one to a 4-year-old who loves it for the "wow" factor - this book is really big. Older kids and adults appreciate it also for the excellent artwork and the story content.

Brilliant analysis of a complicated tale
The author has an indepth understanding of the problem in Kashmir. He has introduced the subject with incredible clarity and presented all the issues objectively and gracefully. There are not that many good books on the disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir but Hari Jai Singh has written a master piece. I would have very much liked to read more about the Hurriyet Conference. This so-called ...
