A page turner at Danielle Steele's best !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really enjoyed this book, it started good from the start . It continued on at a slower pace but you have to acquire a taste for the character and all involved . People who suffer from amnesia has to go through this process to try and remember stuff from their life , so i dont think it was repetive that she loved her ex husband like a brother , she just did not remember much details about her ...

A White Man's Opinion
I was in Houston visiting a friend when he pulled this book out. I was bored and started flipping through it... and then started to read it. I don't pretend to know ANYTHING about this lifestyle but I do know the book was very easy to read and very simply written - conversational style. I had no knowledge (still don't) of any of the references to hip hop or even the Hollywood references above the ...

The Mysterious Montague
A detailed recollection of events in the life of a very mysterious person. Leigh Montville brings back a time when personalities were indeed bigger than life, and one that reluctantly stood out in that crowd is the subject of the story. As the reader enjoys amazing stories involving some famous hollywood names it becomes clear why our subject is not willing to share the spotlight. I found The ...

A Must-Own for both the Savvy and the Clueless
This breezy tome will do an excellent job of making a savvy writer from even the most oblivious Luddite. It is to internet communication what The Elements of Style is to the written word: clear, concise instruction that elaborates not only on what should be done, but explains why. Email was thrust upon an unsuspecting populace years ago; unlike English grammar and composition, the proper use ...

A fitness program you can stick to!
I loved this book! I don't think there's anyone who would disagree that exercise is good for you. The problem is finding the time to do it. So what usually happens is, I start a fitness program and stay with it at first, but then I miss a day here and there and pretty soon I'm not doing it anymore. That hasn't happened with "5-Factor Fitness." What makes the program so easy to stay with is ...

Unions, Capitalists and Dynamite; An Explosive Mix
When I think of union activism and violence, I tend to think of the mine workers, the steel workers and other the meat packers. And, I always associate this activity with the Chicago or other eastern cities. I am not sure I even knew that the unions were all that active in Los Angeles. The author has taken an unusual tack by mixing the stories of D. W. Griffith, William Burns and Clarence ...

Hilarious cop stories
"Hollywood Crows" is a terrific novel, with colorful characters and an endless supply of cops-and-robbers anecdotes, sometimes hilarious and sometimes tragic, but always fascinating. There's a plot too, but, really, who cares? It's the characters and the anecdotes that make the book so entertaining. And if that's what appeals to you, then I highly recommend Wambaugh's "Choirboys," which ...

This book is so catchy. It makes you want to sneak to the bathroom at work to see what's going to happen next. It's a very light read and can definately capture all of your attention. I would recommend this book to anyone who would love to just get consumed by a novel, but not feel like they fried their brain along the way.

Pretty quick read because it is totally, utterly engrossing. Orlean has a wonderful writing style, and a knack for just the right amount of metaphors and similes. Plus terrific descriptive abilities.
