Looks like the best to me.
Had to get a cook book within 2 days so I made a list of 5 star cook books and went to Barnes & Noble to actually look at them - I'm not a cook the book is a present. This book is a quantum leap ahead of the others. It wasn't just recipes and suggestions like the others but so much additional information as many of the other reviewers have described so well. Paid full price for it - bummer. ...

After eight decades it's about Time
A handsome and very lavish look at the rise, over eighty-seven years, of this magazine that seems to be an essential weekly read for so many of us. Reading about the early history of Time and its two creators, Briton Hadden and Henry Luce, I wonder what they would make of their publication now? My guess is that they'll probably be staggered by the amount of advertising and then the range of ...

Just as gorgeous as the first two!
This Illustrated Companion for Eclipse is really nice and give's you an in depth look at the making of the film along with beautifully detailed photographs to go along with it. It is identical to the first two Illustrated Companions but if you really liked them (as I did) I recommend you getting this book. This is a must for Twilight fans!!

One of my favorite cookbooks
Let me start by saying, if you like lots of pictures in your cookbooks, this may not be a good choice for you. That said, this has some fantastic recipes in it: pizza crust dough, cream biscuits, buttermilk biscuits, chewy chocolate chip cookies, double/triple chocolate cookies...I could go on & on. This is the first time I've been able to make a pizza crust that's actually good & tastes like a ...

Jack Levin's "Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburge Address Illustrated"
Deeply moving and sobering. Mark Levin, "The Great One," opens the book with an endearing protrayal of his father, a World War II veteran, and his mother. Both were hard-working, sacraficial people, who had (and have) a deep love and devotion to our nation and our nation's flag. The words of Lincoln's Gettysburg Address set on the backdrop of actual Civil War photographs provide salient ...

Brilliant Idea
Ray Bradbury is one of those rare science fiction authors who writes to provoke rather than simply entertain. His short stories, like his novels, are always deeper than they might seem at first glance, and require careful reading if you are going to get the most out of them. Happy endings are supplied only when called for, and for mood, there are few better writers anywhere. The Illustrated ...

Ace the class with this book!
If you are a visual learner, then you NEED this book. The book covers the material and gets right to the point, providing helpful ways of remembering concepts and helpful diagrams to visualize the many intricacies of biochemistry. I highly recommend this book for anyone taking a course in biochemistry and preparing for the Step 1 exam.

Great reference book
I've been teaching Yoga for a few years now after being a student for more than twenty. This book offers a very detailed look at many of the most common yoga asanas including contraindicated physical issues for each one.I had borrowed the book from our local library a dozen times before I purchased it.I find myself reading "Hatha Yoga Illustrated" before class to remind myself of different aspects ...

It's a Good One!
Hello Guys, As usual, Mark Cotta Vaz has assembled a brilliant book about the Twilight movie. As it is about the first movie, normally I should have got it first, but I got the "New Moon - official Companion by Mark Cotta Vaz" before this book because I couldn't find it in any Indian retail bookstore. Thanks to Amazon, I finally got my hands on this one. It is really good companion book, ...

Variety
Danny Gregory has put together a wonderful book full of variety. It's very freeing for the budding artist, because it frees you up to be the artist you are supposed to be. You learn you don't need to be like someone else. The different personalities, types of expression, articles, and examples of work all add to the excitement of this book. There are URLs connecting you to the websites of the ...

I use this all the time
There are a good number of decent recipes in this book. It seems like most reviewers can make them in 30 minutes. Maybe with practice I will too but it does take me longer. That aside, I like that the recipes use good ingredients (no canned soups, etc.) to make dinner quickly, rather than relying on prepackaged items. Thorough instructions. Yes, some repeats if you have other books or magazines ...

Dorlands Illustrated Medical Dictionary with CD-ROM
I own the smaller portable Dorland's dictionary, but this hard bound version is phenomenal. The illustrations are detailed and extremely helpful. Gave this to my daughter for Christmas, as she earned her medical transcription certificate and will use this as a reference tool. Delivered as promised, in excellent condition with a CD-ROM as well.

Great Reference Book To Add To Collection
As most reviewers have remarked, this book is not a "how-to" technique book. It is also not a book for beginners as there is little instruction for how to actually cut, route, or otherwise shape any wood. Rather, this is a catalog of different techniques. It contains an illustrated collection of all different furniture pieces (casework, tables, and desks). It gives the user measured and exploded ...

The graphic diagrams are a real help in trying to visualize issues like egress. A classic .... even for diverse opiniated people!
This classic by Houston Smith is a great way for those with predetermined religious opinions to explore the unknown. The beautiful book transends the preconceptions and wild tales of "I'm right, They are Wrong!" His introduction, "Point of Departure," promises a fair and factual analysis of each covered religion. The objective is to understand where each religion comes from, the best wisdoms ...

Excellent cookbook
The recipes in the cookbook are very well put-together. But I've found that the discussion in each section about why the recipe works, and what other options they tried when they were testing the recipe, is even more valuable. Highly recommended.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon-The Official Illustrated Movie Companion
What a wonderful way to see the movie from the directors point of view. The Movie Companion is a great way to guide you along the way with unseen photos, personal experiences and just an all around look at the filming of New Moon will draw you back into the emotion and feeling of being in the movie. I truly enjoyed the emotion as well as the fun that was put into this companion. It has kept me ...

Second Grade Fantastic
When this arrived, I was surprised by the smallness of it, as I was hoping for a large picture book suitable for reading to my preschooler. Turns out the size and content are PERFECT for my second grader, who is pleased to find some new Bible stories (especially OT) just a little bit challenging for her. Sidebars bring the history to life, as photos from the Middle East, or of Biblical ...
