Best Care Plan Book
This is an amazing book for doing care plans. Think of your patient and what characteristics they have. Then apply the nursing diagnosis. If they use a walker, have unsteady gait, think of a fall risk. This book will help you identify patient characteristics and apply it in a logical way to your care plans. Very beneficial to nursing students. Also referenced for specific disorders. What nursing ...

The misuse of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs has severe emotional and financial consequences for users, their families, and society. The collective effects are often devastating, because the magnitude of the problems associated with alcohol, tobacco, and drug dependency (ATOD) is far-reaching. Social workers in practice areas related to children and families, older adults and aging, and health and wellness are well aware of the need for ...

The Holocaust Chronicles
This is one of the most amazing books on the holocaust that I have ever seen, and I've seen my share. This book shows you things and stories that have never been heard my most people. It sometimes speaks in a humorous tone, and other times it is dramatically serious. It shows you pages and pages of pictures that capture the readers attention and make the reader want to continue on and on. ...

An Existential Approach to Psychological Assessment
If you have ever had your own reservations about the nature and use of assessment in contemporary clinical practice, thinking it involves unequal power dynamics, focuses on abstract generalities rather rich individualized descriptions, and alienates and objectifies the client rather than serves the client as a means for growth and therapeutic insight, maybe it is time to learn Constance Fischer's ...

Great Book for Students, But.......
This is very nice for Nursing students (I am a student so I can't say if an RN working would like it or not) but.....if you buy the Med/Surg book from this company, a CD comes with it and the CD contains the info in this book. My suggestion, if you need both, would be to get the Med/Surg book. Also, the edition comes with a Disk not a CD and it is not as nice as the CD.

Informative but slightly souless
I bought this book as a text for my Chemical Dependancies class for my masters degree in Psychology. I found this text to be very dry. It is informative, with lots of statistical/research type details and useful for that purpose. However, I found the text to lack a more human dimension and as a result i found that I had to make quite an effort to read it ( that is unusual for me). I think that, ...
