Loving Life is a Verb
I bought "Life is a Verb: 37 Days to Wake Up, Be Mindful, and Live Intentionally" about three days in to 2010. I (like many) stumbled in to the new year still overwhelmed by the last. It took me a few days to realize- something has to shift. Who doesn't look for positive books or movies, or skim the self help aisle at Barnes and Noble when grasping for something, anything to help them shift ...
The Lexicon of Intentionally Ambiguous Recommendations (L.I.A.R.)

Funny, but the earlier editions were better
First off, this is a rather quaint book that seems more to apply to typewriters than computers. This isn't necessarily a bad thing -- it doesn't kill the humor potential at all -- but it does kind of weaken the force of the joke. In particular, creating space oddities (read the book) simply isn't doable without built-in kerning capability on the word processor, a concept only someone educated in ...

When your desire to write a polite recommendation letter stands in the way of telling the truth, turn to this book and you can do both. Each positive sounding remark about a person's work ethic, personality, or brains have a hidden meaning thanks to tricky phrasing and questionable punctuation. With this book, you'll never feel that you brushed over an employee's failings or that you damaged a reputation. This book is a handy way to create ...

Change Your Life Today by Doing "One Thing"
This is definitely a very challenging book...but in a good way. You should see my copy, it is tabbed and highlighted. I even went through and pulled out some quotes I really liked and posted them above my computer as motivation! I finished this book in a couple of days, but it will be a book that I keep on my bookshelf and will most definitely come back to it time and time again as a reference. I ...

Great book - full of practical leadership techniques and ideas
This book is great - I found several new tips and techniques that I've implemented in my life. I especially like the chapter on clarity; he provides some great techniques on how to be absolutely clear about what you want. Also the section on persistence proposes that discipline is over-rated, which to me was an interesting twist on how to get things done. Highly recommended!
