Not a typical Robin Cook stuff
This book is a disappointment. I am a great fan of Robin Cook and his novels, but this book was a waste of time. It felt like the author didn't have a plot at all. There is no story.

Intrroducing the Next President of the United States!
One can only hope and dream. But with Wayne Allyn Root's (W.A.R) determination, the stars just might be in alignment for his election in 2012, 2016, or 2020. Root discusses virtually every important policy issue in this book. Unlike his college classmate at Columbia University (Barack Obama), Root has received his education in the school of "hard knocks." As a long time small business ...

Great Overview of the 2nd Great Financial Depression
The author has provided us with an extensive rogues' gallery of crooks, thieves, and incompetents that have led us to our country's present financial disaster. She points out that the US taxpayer is already on the hook for $13 trillion of inadequately collateralized loans, financial securities hardly worth the paper they are printed on, and general financial trash scooped up by the federal ...

Genograms: Assessment and Intervention, Third Edition
This is an excellent book for family and individual therapists. It allows you to get a visual picture of the client's family, both close and extended. This aids other therapists who may also help this client in the future understand what was discovered during the therapy process for the client. A great addition to any therapist's library. It is also a useful tool for those who are interested in ...

A Practitioner's Guide to Reading Intervention
How do I set up reading intervention? How many students should I have in a group? What should students be reading outside of the literacy block? How do I increase communication between interventionists and the classroom teacher? How do I find the money to make systematic reading intervention a possibility in my school? These are all questions that I faced as a principal. I have struggled to ...

Blackstock's best yet
I was in a hurry to purchase Intervention when I read that this book had hit the NYT Bestseller status. I saw why as soon as I started reading. The grasp of characters, the inside knowledge of a family in peril, and the strong main characters make the read realistic. The depth of emotion and the surprises on every page would not let me put the book down--I might miss something! Well worth the ...

The Current Insurrection
I first heard of this book through an underground online anarchist news syndicate called submedia.tv, talking about this book being read out aloud in corporate chains like Barnes & Noble and Starbucks. Then I heard somewhere that Glenn Beck had urged the public to read this book, because it was dangerous- and it was at the moment that the author(s) already had a pre-order on their hands. Not ...

Simply Brilliant
This book is a Godsend! I'm a fairly "green" counselor, and I recently began working with my local child protective services agency. I can't tell you how helpful and empowering Lowenstein's suggested play therapy techniques have been to me, and most importantly, my clients! I'm buying ALL of her books ASAP!

this guide was recommended by my child's psychologist as a tool to deal with ADHD and executive function deficit. It has been tremendously helpful. As a matter of fact I got his school's psychologist and Special Ed Coordinator to purchase copies for all teachers.

How to Reach and Teach Children with ADD/ADHD is a truly fantastic resource for educators trying to best serve children with ADHD. Rief begins the book by demystifying ADHD, writing a succinct summary of ADHD and how it manifests in academic domains. She moves on to sharing suggestions on how to best manage ADHD in different tasks like math, reading, and writing. Her suggestions are ...

Engaging and informative
I'm an actuarial student studying for the MLC exam (actuarial models) and CLEP Micro/Macro equivalencies. I ordered this book both because I wanted to learn more about the current financial crisis, as well as to become more fluent and comfortable with the concepts and terminology of economics and finance. The book succeeded on both counts. And it was fun to boot. If you think economics is a ...

mind stretching
Being an engineer, I prefer not to be carried away with my use of words, but this book just makes, channels the reader talk, think, again talk on it in the ways he/she is not very used to. Nevertheless, this is a good exercise in the broadest sense of the word for everybody. It should be so actively read that I can even recommend it to those who would like to lose weight.

This book has been a great help to me. For a long time I have felt that the history which we are being forced to believe in has a lot of truths missing. This book, edited by J. Awesome Analysis
As a 35 year banker (and loan officer) I have seen and survived the dark days of 1985-1992 when the banking industry was on the edge. Penn Square as the harbringer of disaster and the impact on the industry was a rude awakening. Thus, the spectre of TBTF; particularly as more banks continue to grow and we now have trillion dollar financial institutions. This book covers TBTF with outstanding ...
