Awesome information and very helpful
This book was exactly what I was looking for and needed. It gave me the insight I needed to answer the questions in my interviews. I recommend to all persons interested in going through the Fire Fighter application process to read this book and get an understanding of what they are looking for from the candidates.

Best Vampire Books You'll Ever Read
The three books in this volume are all AMAZING, and I'm proud to say that they are some of, if not my favorite books. They have so much substance to them, so much complexity and emotion. I haven't felt nearly as emotional while reading a book as I did while reading these. The characters dig into your heart and stay there forever. Out of the three, I might say I liked "Queen of the Damned" the ...

Instructive and good for all experience levels
Well organized and full of information for both the newbie and also a more experienced blogger who wants to deepen their effectiveness (or experiment more). I work with synagogues, and found the approach of blogging for "ministry" can be useful and much more broadly defined than for churches alone. Very easy to read, full of practical examples.

Can you handle the truth?
This is a great book. There's a lot out there about police use-of-force (usually anti-police) and police shootings (usually pro-police). There's very little out there about police-involved shootings from the police officer's perspective. The book is filled with first-hand accounts of shootings and almost shootings, (the latter are particularly interesting). Why do cops pull the ...

Instant Interviews - a Variety of Information
This book has such a variety of useful information. "people don't change....you're just using what you had all the time....Reprioritise your values..." This is the quote that encaptured the essence of the book for me. I believe people have both good and bad qualities. This book potentially helps to bring out the good qualities in oneself. We each have a different way of expressing ...

Oh, How They Played the Game!
"The Glory of their Times" is a book of personality, a book of passion, in which 22 baseball players of the 1890s to the 1930s tell their stories. Originally taped by Lawrence Ritter in the 1960s, these oral remembrances are now very valuable. There are no longer any live witnesses of the earlier times. The later times are fast escaping conscious memory, setting aside the contribution of Paul ...

Although there is no bona fide guarantee that you will get a government job, I can say with absolute certainty that you will be placed in the top tier group as being the Best Qualified and possibly be called for an interview (PROVIDING YOU FOLLOW what the author recommends)! What happens at that point is on you, and there is even a section on how to prepare for interviews. For those who are ...

Fun book to read on Screenwriting -- Inspirational!
I always love to read about how people work, and this is a great example of that type of book. It gives a number of a screenwriters who have written screenplays you will recognize, and they comment on how they work, what inspires them, how they think up new ideas, how they keep their creativity flowing, etc. It also tells you how discouraging screenwriting can be -- which is good to know up ...

Like AMONG WARRIORS IN IRAQ, HELL IS OVER is a jewel of a book: 5 stars.
Like AMONG WARRIORS IN IRAQ, HELL IS OVER is a jewel of a book. Definitely 5 stars. Mike Tucker lets the Kurds of Iraq tell their stories. His insight into the intelligence campaign in Iraq, and how the Kurds can help us defeat insurgents and terrorists in Iraq, is more timely than ever. I very much enjoyed all of this great book, especially the last section, "The Road Ahead," where ...

The Nuremberg Interviews
This book has been sitting on my shelf for about a year and I finally decided to dive into it. I wish I had read it sooner. `The Nuremberg Interviews' is a collection of interviews with a number of the most notorious Nuremberg defendants-as well as those designated witnesses-by American psychiatrist Leon Goldensohn. Much has been written about these individuals, but here we have the story of the ...

Excellent primer
This book is a fantastic primer for "how-to-get-a-job" in pharmaceutical sales. It is a quick read, but the information is complete and if you actually follow-through with all of the tactics that the author suggests, you have a good chance of at least getting one interview. After that it will be up to you to sell yourself and demonstrate that you actually know what you're talking about. But ...

Great message and to the point
Our executive team was asked to read this book and we each were given a chapter to present. I am by no means the fastest reader in the world, but I breezed through this in less than 2 hours. I believe the message and directions in this book are the true path of a leader. I have since passed on copies to the leaders in my deptment and have received nothing but positive feedback.

Excellent insight into the thought and world of Joseph Ratzinger (Benedict XVI)
Read this book. There are so many things that are wonderful about this book; it is hard to know where to begin. First and foremost, this is a fantastic comprehensive synthesis of Ratzinger's views regarding much of the current concerns of the Church and of the world. Additionally, the question and answer format makes this book extremely accessible, even for those who might think they ...

Facinating look at the Legends last days & photos
This was one of the first Marilyn books I owned and I have to say it still stands out as one of my very favorites because it is so intimate, and the pictures show a very down to earth Marilyn that you feel like you could reach out and touch. George Barris was actually a long time photographer of Monroe, he had the pleasure of catching some of her most iconic moments on camera such as the famous ...

The Walrus and the Carpenter
My favorite Lennon quote comes not from this book, but from the Beatle's set during the Royal Variety Performance for the British Royal Family in 1963: "Will the people in the cheaper seats clap your hands? And the rest of you, if you'll just rattle your jewelry." I love that, though I've been told you need to be raised in the British class-consciousness to fully appreciate the insolence of ...
