Changed my mind!
I can credit this book with giving me the courage (and the right mindset) to tackle bigger-salary jobs for which I was uncertain I was qualified. I had some six-figure jobs e-mailed to me through RiseSmart, but joked that it was pointless curiosity. Now I plan to go after those opportunities, using the techniques set forth in Beshara's book and my newfound positive attitude!

Topics and assignments are broken down into 52 weeks, with spaces in some of the chapters for you to write in the book as you do that week's assignment. (Not ...

Useful information about Facebook for newbies and the longtimers alike
I have been a Facebook user since 2005, when the social network was limited only to college kids (I worked in a college: I was not a college student at the time). Seeing it evolve as it has in recent months has been a pleasant thing as it has allowed me to reconnect with old friends that I had effectively lost touch with. As a longtime user, I thought I knew most of what Facebook had to offer, ...

Great Book
I read an older version of this book back in 1995. I interviewed for a highly technical engineering job and to my total surprise about 70% of the three hour interview was covered in this book (I was on my own with the technical questions). I got the job in a research department at a major university. Highly recommended.

The last book on CD my wife and I bought was terrible: mens' voices for female characters, etc. And what's the alternative on the radio? Pop music or Howard Stern? I spend twenty percent of my waking life in my car. I might as well spend it wisely. The Food Scholar is easy listening and presented in a way that makes the information easy to learn and remember.

Outstanding insights from a former top assistant!
This book has helped so many people! It's perfectly brilliant. I think it's insane that reviewers are commenting on publisher's type-o's instead of commenting on how significant this book really is. Obviously, Ms. Duncan proofed her own book and after meeting Ms. Duncan at an event, I mentioned the reviews about the errors in the book. Ms. Duncan and her staff has tried desperately for years ...
