Dr Oz got my interest
I had heard about Probiotics before but when Dr Mehmet Oz appeared on Oprah and talked about health and Probiotics I wanted to know more. This book is simply laid out and you can read about a specific area of health that you are interested in improving or how your whole health is affected by Probiotics. This book has good information for anyone concerned with getting healthy and staying healthy.

For Anyone Interested in Spanish Wine
I'll be brief: there is no finer in depth book about Spanish wine on the market to date. I cannot recommend the books published by Mitchell Beazley highly enough. I have found them indespensible for my studies towards my Master of Wine. Pros: beautiful photos, in depth regional info, producer bios. Cons: you need a 'decent' wine education before tackling this one.

Great Book
I was 22 when Watergate broke. I thought I knew a lot, I was wrong. No matter how much you think you may know about the Nixon era, until you read this book, you have no idea. Well researched, using unpublished material, you will enter the world of the Joint Chiefs spying on Kennedy and Johnson to things Liddy proposed you would never believe. Read it, you'll learn a lot. A casual & painless approach to learning environmental history
As the title suggests, Mitchell's book traces the natural history of the Shawmut Peninsula, better known today as downtown Boston and hardly recognizable as such a distinctive landform. In his singular "walkabout" style, Mitchell walks and drives around the metropolis, leading us through its geologic origins and survival of the ice ages to the eventual arrival of various animal species. Anyone ...

GET ONE THING THROUGH YOUR CLOSED-MINDED - ANTI-CHOMSKY HEADS; HE HAS "NO," AGENDA & TELLS "IT LIKE IT IS," VERDAD...!
How do you insult a man like Chomsky who is putting America first and telling some unpopular truths about it. If you disagree with Chomsky, then you disagree with what is in the hearts and minds of the millions upon millions who agree with him and have bought his books. There is just something about the TRUTH that appeals to people. You can lie on CNN; you can cover things up in the media and ...

Excellent insights into an historic rescue
The Pendleton Disaster gives new and important insights into Bernard C. Webber's impossible rescue of the crew of the SS Pendleton stern in 1952. The authors have done in-depth interview with the rescue crew and what emerges is heart-touching as well as insightful. The organization of the book is a bit choppy here and there with free-standing chapters on various aspects of the wreck. But the ...

This little book provides useful information for both the professional (I'm a hospital chaplain) and those who care about others. In easy to understand language, the authors discuss the nature of loss and our response to it. They discuss what attitudes and actions toward the griever are helpful or not helpful. Using this book alone, you can become a more knowledgable and effective caregiver, ...

L&H Encyclopedia a must-own
This is a gold mine of information, much of which is not going to be found elsewhere easily, if at all. Glenn Mitchell has done a thorough job of researching his subjects, and it shows. Clearly, he enjoys The Boys as well, since a noticeable amount of wit and humor add to the fun of reading the book. Incidentally, it's virtually im possible ("I have just two words...") to read the book in ...

Excellent book, pages are OK
This excellent book has no mistake!!! Are pages sticked? YES. For the first time when You are watching them one by one. It is because of used "parcial UV lacquer". This is polygraphical method to make printed photos very glossy and You think the phography is real (not just as printed part of paper page). After the first watching page by page the pages will have no sticker effect anymore. Also ...

Good insight into the younger generation
This book had me from the beginning with the Socrates quote. I really like how the authors broke the generation down to how they think. The authors are part of another generation (as I am) and the comparisons are right on the money. While the entire reason the young adults (those under 30) are the way they are cannot be attributed to video games (IMHO), it does account for a lot of their thought ...

If you want tall, rangy, squint-eyed men in dusters standing in the center of the street at high-noon, go elsewhere. I've read a biography of Wyatt Earp and several articles from various sources on this topic prior to ...
