Thank God for Dr Walser
This book, in my opinion, is a must for kidney patients. Well written and easy to understand, it gave me a much better understanding of CKD and what I need to do to live a longer and healthier life. Dialysis is not something I want to experience. After being diagnosed with CKD 18 months ago (stage 3)I did a lot of research on diet, etc. and happened upon Dr. Walser's book. With the approval ...

Great text for those interested in nephrology
I am a medicine resident interested in nephrology. This book starts out with the basics of renal anatomy/physiology, approach to patients with kidney disease, and goes on to define/classify, and provide an outline for diagnosis/therapy of common kidney disorders. Its depth suits perfectly medicine residents, and probably, as others have mentioned, fellows starting their training. Those looking ...

Best kidney stone book I have read.
"No More Kidney Stones" was the best kidney stone book I have read in regard to prevention. The important prevention ideas include: 1) to drink water late in the day. 2) to eat early and quit eating early, if possible. 3) a list of common medications for prevention. 4) a list of high oxalate foods (some oxalate lists are contradictory on the internet.) I'm grateful for the book....Robert

Marginally Useful
This little book has some useful information in it, and a lot of recipes. Almost all of the recipes, however, depend upon special, expensive, mail order ingredients. I believe it is possible to make low-protein meals without such ingredients. In making bread, for instance, I mix in 0 protein tapioca starch (from the oriental food market) and white cornmeal. The bread you get isn't Wonder ...

WOW!
Joan Saltzman's wonderful book is about real people, told candidly with insightful humor about herself, her family, and a culture that told women that if they're not married by age 30 and living happily-ever-after, something must be horribly wrong! The charm of this delightful book is that Joan's voice is an honest voice, and most of us have been in her shoes, even if the particulars are ...

Excellent sequel
Ms. Potter has done it again. Exit Academy is a wonderful sequel to a first-rate tale of a young girl growing up in New York City. Right from the start you are whisked off into the realm of the supernatural, where things are most definitely not what they seem (a good lesson for all of us to bear in mind). Exit Academy is hilarious, scary and flows beautifully. Ms. Potter has an excellent command ...

Everything said by the previous reviewers is True, True, TRUE!!! Finally a book with some answers as to why kidney stones occur and more importantly, how to PREVENT them. very well done
If one asked me how I felt about selling ones organ's for profit a few months ago I would have surely said that it would be an immoral act indeed. However, after reading cherry's book I cannot, on a philosophical basis, find any flaws in his logic. A fun and interesting read.
