A Child's Gift of Lullabyes

THE BEST LULLABY MUSIC
I can't even put it into words. We enjoyed this tape so much when my son was a baby! I hear the music now and it brings tears to my eyes. I would sit for hours, rocking him to this music and the songs are so beautiful. Whenever I have to buy a gift for a baby shower, I always buy this cassette because it's loved by everyone who receives it. Go out and get this tape immediately, I promise, ...
Goodnight, My Angel: A Lullabye (Book & Audio CD) (CD: Goodnight, My Angel)
best children's lullaby
This my favorite gift to give to a new baby! Billy Joel soothing voice says it all!
Lullaby Berceuse: A Warm Prairie Night
Delightful. Lullabies being sung how they _should_ be sung!
That is, mellow and soothing, as opposed to high and sharp! Just compare the quite low tone of Connie Kalder's voice on this collection with the high, shrill sharpness of Susie Tallman's voice and the difference is marked. So much more relaxing and effective to hear lullabies sung with a soothing lower voice than to be jolted wide awake by a sudden sharp, high-pitched jarring effect as ...
Hush, Little Baby: A Folk Song with Pictures
Will grow into one of your favorites
We checked this out of the library, then checked it out again, and again -- and finally bought it, as it had slowly become one of our all-time favorites. The illustrations are ingenious, in that they turn a nonsense verse into something that makes complete sense. I have been reading this to our son for almost two years and still notice new details. And the increasingly exhausted expressions on ...
Hush Little Baby
Wonderful new lullabye
Me and my 18-mo-old enjoy this book for bedtime every night since we received it. She likes being sung to, but it is also nice just to read this book. I do like the new words the author uses with the familiar melody. I've memorized them now and it helps sooth my daughter back to sleep at 4am.
Harper Collins, Inc., 2010
A Winner !!
From the onset, the author's words will seize your heart. A moving little book. A page turner. Throughout the book, the reader is on edge as uneasiness prowls. Still, Lorraine Heath continues to seduce her reader, drawing upon her excellent writing style, and applying subtle humor throughout the pages. Within the book, we discover one of the most wonderful heros ever to grace a romance novel. ...
Wee Sing Nursery Rhymes & Lullabies

Off we go to London Town!
My Mom and I used to quote that every time we would go on a trip. This is easily one of the best Wee Sing tapes, now available on CD. My cousin recently had her 2nd baby and I bought it for him. And since my Mom had the NERVE to sell our original copy of this one in a garage sale, I just HAD to download it to my iPod before wrapping it. The nursery rhyme part of it, is also set to a story ...
A new favorite
My son is two and a half and LOVES this book. He calls it "Nick-lee-nee" and asks for it several times a week. Highly highly recommended!
Day's End Lullaby
Stories for Children Magazine 5 Star Review
REVIEWED BY: Wayne Walker A child has his favorite teddy bear. The sun has set. The moon is out. The day is over. The child is tired. Now it is time for him to close his eyes and go to sleep. This lovely little book, with its lilting, lyrical poetry and its soothing message, is intended for just such a time. One of the best things that parents may do for their children is to read aloud ...
Lullaby River is an enchanting book and cassette for both children and adults. Our son and daughter loved listening to the story and music and enjoyed singing the songs of Tucker the Turtle before naptime. The beautiful illustrations by Maria Danly compliment Linda Danly's lovely voice. Thoughtfully conceived and executed this is an engaging work which is a treasure to experience.
Lullabies, an Illustrarted Songbook
The Metropolitan Museum of Art
Lush and lovely
This beautiful book has gorgeous slick illustrations from the Metropolitan Museum of Art as well as clearly printed piano scoring to accompany the lullabies. It is by far the best book of its kind I've seen. I send it to every new baby on my list and hope it never goes out of print!
Close Your Eyes
My All-Time Favorite Bedtime Book
Over the years of reading books to my children, Close Your Eyes became both my favorite and my daughter's. The lyrical story is told on two levels, perfectly complimented by the illustrations. As a father, I identify with the dad in the story. My daughter is in college now, but we occasionally recite the story to eachother in our correspondence, and still treasure the countless bedtimes ...
Golden Slumbers Audio: Lullabies from Far and Near
I also would love a reissue in CD format...
When my children were small, I think we wore out at least three of these tapes. They listened to it every night. The entire family still has all the words to this soothing music memorized. I would love to see it offered in a more durable format.
The Peter Yarrow Songbook: Sleepytime Songs
Sleepytime song book
I have given this book to three expectant mothers. All have loved receiving it. You can't go wrong with Peter Yarrow!
Heavenly Skies and Lullabies: Illustrated Songbook & CD
Kathy Reilly Fallon
Heavenly Skies and Lullabies
Heavenly Lullabies is right. Every parent will enjoy watching as their child fall asleep to this amazing book & CD. Dr. Kathy Fallon provides the vocals for the beautifully sung songs which will soothe and comfort the little ones as the day fades away. The parents will most likely be hypnotized by the lyrics as well. Heavenly Skies and Lullabies utilizes the charming and emotion provoking ...
I Love You This Much Board Book (A Song of God's Love)
From One Dad to Another
This is a WONDERFUL book that helps children understand the love of God for them and their infinite worth as beings created in the image of God. I stumbled upon it when my first child was one and have sung it to him (and my second child) every night of his life since (he's now four and a half). It works perfectly as a lullaby! I highly recommend it!

Chilling, thrilling and mind-bending
Reviewed by Gina Holland for RebeccasReads (5/08) Do you remember Rosemary's Baby? A scary novel and film that made lots and lots of money, it has nothing on the novel "Dark Lullaby," which was terrific, thrilling and mind bending! The story is actually much different than Rosemary's Baby, but I'm reminded all the same. There is a baby involved, but that comes later. Mayra Calvani did an ...
Dreamland: A Lullaby
Mary Chapin Carpenter
Dreamland: Nana's Review of a Favorite Book!
I have purchased four copies of this book, one for myself and one for each of my children who have children. I was immediately drawn to the soft colors, peaceful pictures in gentle tones, and the rhythm of the words. The children (and their animal friends) pictured going off to dreamland are from different countries. Going to sleep is pictured and told as a gentle, peaceful, safe and enjoyable ...
Lullabies for Lieutenants: Memoir of a Marine Forward Observer in Vietnam, 1965-1966
The author transported me to place I've never been, to experiences events I could only imagine. His riveting narrative is not just another a "war story", but a deep exploration of those emotions that shape one's life forever. Pride, fear, doubt, uncertainty, compassion and of course, anger. The colorful characters are vivid: Although I met "Capt. Queeg", and "Capt Bligh", I would have ...
