Best Book on the New Mini
This is by far the best book I have read on the new Mini Coopers. It covers everything that I probably ever need to know about these great little cars. The modification section is not as comprehensive as I would like it to be, but it still offered some great performance enhancements tips.

Hundreds of ideas
I recommend this book to many teachers in K-12 classrooms and use it a lot in my own work as an advocate. This book is filled with hundreds of ideas and most of them are appropriate for students with any need, ability, or challenge including those with cognitive disabilities, learning disabilities, autism, and physical disabilities.

Competitors pit-pass; Step one.
In my quest for knowledge relevant to designing, building and driving a light-weight, high-performance sportscar, I have bought and borrowed numerous books, magazines, plans and workshop-manuals. This book has been one of the best of my many purchases. My one regret is that I didn't have this book much earlier; I very nearly did, but when I began my project, "Race and Rally Car" looked wrong to ...

An excellent resource for upper-elementary school teachers!
This book is excellent for helping teachers to create a balanced literacy program in their upper-elementary school classrooms. I have used the techniques in this book for grades 4, 5, and 6, and they have worked wonderfully. The methods just make sense, and they can be incorporated into an existing language arts program.

An Excellent Reference
I needed a reference for work, one that was easy enough for a my co-worker, a non-programmer, to use and yet detailed enough to be useful for me. I browsed through most of the current versions of Access references, checking the details, coverage and examples for something that might meet my requirements. While it is impossible for any book to be everything to everyone, this one comes very close ...

This is better than the other Holley book I bought at the same time. It doesn't cover as wide a range of products and therefore is much more detailed.

Lingefelter's small block street motor primer
I purchased this book when it was released in 1996. I had just finished a 355 and had it running. I learned so much more than all the magazine how-to articles I read that I had to pull the motor and change the oil pump and file-fit the rings. So much of what I read in this book made too much sense. This book was reviewed in one of the Chevy rags and the first thing mentioned was the misuse of ...

Very informative and insightful
I've known Gen 1 small block Chevy engines all my life, but now am embarking on a streetrod project with an LS1 engine. This book is very informative and offers a comprehensive description of this new generation of Chevy motors, along with many details on performance enhancements and resulting dyno run numbers. A "must read" for anyone who is not yet familiar with all the variations of these LS ...

Social Skills book
This book is helpful for the social skills group that I run, however the book has worksheets, not activities to do with the kids. It is mostly focused on behavior in school. It is a good supplemental tool for me.
Making and Modifying Machines (Fine Woodworking On)

Great book about real woodworking machines, not shop jigs
Don't let the rather crude looking sam on the cover fool you. This book has some great ideas from two different table saws to a jointer and even some ideas on shaper knives. The part I liked most was that the instructions had just the right amount of detail to cover the rough spots but left the rest up to you, it is after all going to be your tool. Also for the price its hard to go wrong.

Very cool book for WRX/Impreza fans
If you like the WRX or the Impreza in general, then this book does a really nice job of covering the differences between model years, and various international models, with some maintenance and modification information information to boot. Also contains some great photos for the various models and options.
You & Your Land Rover Freelander: Buying, enjoying, maintaining, modifying (You & Your)
James Taylor
Haynes Publishing
, 2004
The Freelander was developed to take Land Rover into the compact Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) market in response to the success of 'lifestyle' 4x4s produced by rivals such as Suzuki, Toyota and Honda. An instant success, within little over a year of its launch the 'baby' Land Rover had become the best-selling 4x4 in Europe. This all-color book takes a look at the development and evolution of the Freelander model range, and covers buying, ...

mostly worthless
This book is required for an Introduction to Computers class I am taking, and frankly, I find it all but useless. Often the directions on the pages don't seem to correspond with the options on my screen, although I am running the same version of Office that the book purports to cover. When I am confused by THIS book, I whip out other books that I've found more helpful, namely the Microsoft ...

Ok for a beginner
Book is detailed for the do it yourselfer with little or no prior experience. If your looking for more, such as performance applications, this book does not have much. I am an ASE certified mechanic, and I am disappointed in this book. Nice general information, but not much more. For example, almost no info on improving Magnum RT cylinder head port flow.

A child's book...
This book had little to no useful information about actually working on or modifying a jeep. It reads like Chryslers propaganda glorifying the Grand Cherokee with out any facts to back it up. This book is trivial at best and grossly miss titled. In short I feel dumb for even buying this book and advise anyone with serious questions about the vehicle to look elsewhere. But then again maybe I'm ...
