Great Peckinpah biography
This is one of the first and best Peckinpah's biographies. Written a few years before his death but with a new preface and postscript it is a superb account about the life and films of Sam Peckinpah. Garner Simmons talked to many friends, family, actors and producers to make this a wonderful readable experience. If you are in the films of Sam Peckinpah get this book!

How to Cheat in Photoshop - A Have to Have Book
This is a very fun book to work thru. It comes with a CD that has photos to work with. You will install the CD and use the different effects over and over. I find myself going back to the book on many different projects. Most of the effects are ones that you can use in editing any type of photo. I loved the book and recomend it highly. Even beginners will find it easy to follow.

98 pages and worth every penny
Winston Smith takes retro drawings and paintings from thee original picture, and turns them into collages. Thee collages are intended to inform and amuse you. In thee opinion of me, Winston does with pictures what people like William S. Burroughs and Jello Biafra have done with words. Most of these pictures are very funny and very thought provoking. This book also makes for a great ...

Excellent mockery and re-depiction of American Culture
Smith, named after the fictional character from Orwell's 1984, has produced collage and montage artwork for the past 20 years, utilizing stolen and "borrowed" photographs from innumerable sources. He has produced much of his art using an exacto knife and a color photocopier alone. His work is definitely not for the faint of heart, though I would recommend to anyone flipping through here

Well-written and interesting on several different levels...
I really enjoyed this book. Not only are the characters enjoyable and the story exciting, but you will be left pondering 1) what is the impact if an author were to die in the middle of a series and 2) does the act of reading a book make the story and characters an active part of our own reality. Highly recommended.

Great book! Bought for 9 yr old
(this review is being typed by the parent of the 9 yr old reader as she dictates. I ordered it for her from Amazon because we couldn't find it anywhere else in town. She loves it!) "This book is very interesting. And very COOL! It has fun facts, cool photos and awesome 'pop-ups'. My favorite page is the tsunami page, because it is very interesting to know that plates in the ground wiggle and ...

Not just about computer graphics, but also about the power of imagination
I don't know why Glassner's notebook series hasn't been more popular. It could be because he doesn't just lay out code for this or that computer graphics effect. Instead, his books are often about the ideas and imagination behind various aspects of computer graphics. I really enjoyed this 3rd installment in his notebook series. As no table of contents is shown, I review this book in the context ...

Dreamscapes - Exploring Photo Montages
I am sure this book will become a well used and treasured favorite! Not only for the sheer joy of simply browsing its pages, but also as an instruction manuel for working out new skills and techniques in expanding my own phtographic efforts. Or as André so aptly put it, "fulfilling my need for deeper expression through photography". I had the priviledge of meeting and studying with André at ...

Planning Your High School Reunion: Making It Fun and Easy
Having never planned any kind of reunion before, I was clueless as to where to start organizing my 10-year class reunion. I had a general idea of what needed to be done but no idea about the details. Planning Your High School Reunion, laid it all out for me! It gave time lines of when to do what (get the committee together, rent facilities, send out mailers, etc.) and ideas of how to do ...

This Book Makes Me Smile
I love this story. I find myself smiling and getting that warm, fuzzy feeling as the father rabbit and son exchange conversation about how much they love each other, each one topping the other's love. This is one of the first books that I bought for my son because it tells of the boundless love that a parent has for their children. Truly, one of the sweetest children's books ever written. ...

Wonderful Family Tree Book
I am very nostalgic and this booklet worked for me so well I bought a second one while in England. It has a late Victorian/ early 20th century feel to it. I loved the fold out family tree! My favorite parts were the different sections where I wrote in family military information, vacations we took, and and immigration history. Truly a great buy!

Life
These are not typical short stories. They are expriences. They are moments in life that leave you saying, "Wow that could have been me. I could have been there." You do not just read her poems; you feel them as well. I highly recommend this book to everyone and believe me, you will be left wanting more.

Thought-provoking book for scrap lovers
I enjoyed reading through the devotions in this book. Anytime someone can take a beloved hobby or pastime and link it to our lives, I think it gives us a new perspective. This is what Mary does beautifully in her book. Another of my favorite features of the book are the quotes and history of scrapbooking. I learned so many interesting things about this fabulous hobby that I love so much. It's ...
