bright text but not very extensive
The book is well written and easy to read .Somehow it is not very invasive and leaves out many relatively harder aspects which could be potential USMLE questions .TRY SOLVING A PRETEST JUST AFTER READING THIS BOOK ......YOU WILL KNOW WHAT I MEAN.

Great book
Our cardio physio teacher "highly" recommended this book and I must say that it does provide a great introduction to cardiovascular physio. The price isn't too bad and the chapters are not terribly long. The case questions at the end of each chapter help you to solidify concepts.

Wonderful pocket reference
As an NP student, I needed a condensed reference book. This one is it! All of the body systems explained very briefly with wonderful conceptual models and diagrams, fetal circulation, etc. There are pictures of bones, muscles, veins, all the basics. Helpful
This item arrived quickly and I was surprised at the cards. They are really colorful and awesome. I love the end of the chapter questions, and the cards really are connected to my book. I start my class on October 5, 2009. I cannot wait to get started.

Good Physiology
Book does a good job in explaining the main physiological points. Structure of book is around different functions (NaCl Transport) rather than speaking to specific renal structures and describing those functions. Does not have a good description of renal structure, but definitely enough to understand the physiology.

Mosby Endocrine Physiology
I'm in medical school and I found this to be an excellent book because of how well it aided my understanding. I went with 4 stars because it could be improved by eliminating some confusing redundancy and a handfull of significant typos. It's not for you if you are looking for a thorough discourse addressing the primary literature (research papers), but it presents the info in an easily-understood ...

Concise, good diagrams, good practice questions
I used this text for my Med I GI physiology and was surprised at how concise and well written it turned out to be. My instructor had assigned certain chapters, sections, figures but I it cover to cover in one sitting. Not only were the chapters well written an organized but the comprehensive examination at the end of the book was quite well done. Highly recommended!

No pain, no gain
Yes, this can be a difficult book to read, and the end of each chapter does bring a feeling of relief. However, since I first had to scour it cover-to-cover almost 20 years ago, I have not found another single volume resource that is so authoritative. If you are planning ophthalmic research or education this is a good place to start your study. Unfortunately, a lot of the established medical ...

The best Anatomy & Physiology book!
I really fell in love with this book. You will often feel that you have a private tutor along by your side every time you read it. One of my favorite feature in this book is the "quick check"-right after you've finished reading a little bit about the certain topic you're studying in, a "quick check" will then appears to check you if you really understood it before going on to the next. These one ...
