Great for four year olds!
My two love this book. It breaks the principles of the game into simplistic steps and basic explanations which are perfect for preschoolers. The bold pictures make the book enjoyable for the boys to "read" to themselves sometimes, too.

God moves in mysterious ways
Robbie Fowler is the God of Liverpool. Anyone who has watched his goals in a Liverpool jersey will tell you, in an era when you've the enimagtic Eric Cantona, the powerful Alan Shearer and, to a certain extent, a "prolific" Andy Cole ruling the headlines, that Robbie Fowler just happens to have a little more of that midas touch in front of goal. Being a Liverpool fan and a fond observer of ...

Everything you'd expect from a good football autobiography, and more
I seldom read sports biographies, but nonetheless found this book hard to put down once I started on it. Beckam provides a refreshingly honest and eye-opening account of life in the dressing room and beyond. The book takes the reader on a comprehensive narrative from his childhood years to his rise to international stardom that has few dull moments. Particularly commendable, in my opinion, is the ...

Not a bad book
I decided to read this book because a) I liked the title, b) I liked the cover photo, and c) I wanted to read another football fan memoir along the lines of Fever Pitch, My Favourite Year, or Believe in the Sign. The book turned out to be one-third cricket, one-third football, and one-third stories about growing up as a Jewish kid in Manchester in the fifties and sixties. I found the cricket ...
