If you would enjoy intrigues between 16C Turkish miniaturists, then...
this is a book for you. Pamuk accomplishes a stunningly complex historical novel, the best that the genre can offer. With this story, you enter a world fundamentally different from the present day, in which the concerns and world view of the characters are slowly revealed. While there are some constants, such as the search for true love, miniaturists in 16C Turkey are part of a tradition ...

Good book, Lots of names, almost too many!
This book has plenty of names to choose from. It gives you some insight on where the names originated from, and the history of names. I say almost too many names because most of the names I would never even think about naming my child, but I can't take off a star for this, that is the point of the book afterall. It's nice to have so many options. Just have to do a lot of page flipping. Anyway ...

Best book!
I have read this book and decided that this is the most well written, thought out, put together, dramatic, easy to follow, interesting book I have read in a while. I was a great fan of the Night Angel Trilogy and I still am, yet this book takes precedence over that trilogy! Hand down the best book I have read, did I mention that already? Sorry... Pat Rothfuss has really done a service with ...

Recommend Medal of Honor for Doug Blackmon
Blackmon gets my highest commendation for superb research and presentation of a long forgotten and very, very ugly chapter in America's history. He has uncovered and exposed the exploitation, betrayal, and massive crime committed against black people in the state of ALABAMA. At the very least, the federal and state governments should create a MASSIVE JOBS PROGRAM expecially for black youth in ...

Spiritual warefare is real
This book is great and it's all scripturally based. It opens up your eyes to what goes on in spiritaul warfare. you no longer have to run around blindy wondering what's going on. Christens need to step up and stop pretending that spiritual warfare isn't real. Read this book and start taking authority over the enemy.

Spot On
When Robert Teel shot Henry Marrow I was one month short of high school graduation. I worked at Buy Rite, a small grocery store about a mile from where the shooting took place. Just before dark, the police came in and told us to close up - that a curfew was going into effect at dusk. We shut down the store and I drove the few blocks down Broad Street to Main Street, past the home of Robert ...

We didn't get our first child's name from this book however we did our daughter. We love how it breaks down the names in so many different categories. You too will enjoy it. Strongly recommend for those of you that are about to be first time parents or those of you with so many kids you've run out of ideas lol!

A worthwhile read
Not the easiest read, but worth the effort. Brilliant story that takes place during the Inquisition of the 14th century. The power of the church (Catholic) is evidenced by the great lengths it takes to withhold knowledge that is reserved for only a few. Very believable story. The author does a wonderful job of placing you in this time period.

The Best "Name" Book on the Market!
I must admit I've been using BabyNames.com regularly for years. After all, a fiction writer is a parent, sometimes of hundreds of children, and he/she needs the perfect name for each of his/her characters. So I awaited the publication of this book with positive eagerness. And I was not disappointed. For a writer, one of the most useful sections is "Names to Avoid". Want to find the perfect name ...

Fantastic book! Anything you're looking for can be found in it: both the straight meaning, a spiritual meaning, and a bible quote to go along with it. Also tells you the origin of the name, and much more! Great for brainstorming names for babies, etc...
