This is an excellent book. It has all the requisites for comprehencing and understanding the central nervous system imaging. The only defect is that it is an old book. Will there be a newer version of it soon ? or ever ? Does anyone know ?

This book is an excellent newcomer to the field of Pediatric Neuroimaging and now runs neck and neck with Barkovich's text for the "best of" designation. I have encountered no topical omissions from the material. It seems uniformly excellent. The book also includes Head and Neck imaging, areas that are not included in Barkovich's text. The problem with this new series of books is that they contain only lists of differential diagnoses and do not contain the text which usually places the pathology within the clinical context. I guess it is the way the want to write textbooks now but it is very incomplete. It may help you to pass the speciality exams but you will not be able to function as a neuroradiologist. Better than requisites!
Look, this book is not as thorough as the requisites, but it's a great place to start and the outline format is good for review of the major salient topics. Then, you can fill in the gaps with more complicated and confusing tomes like the requisites or DI Brain.

Now this is a bok we really needed! It is also very well written and complete on the subject of emergency neuroradiology and its applications. I am somewhat sorry because i wanted to write such a book but it is very needed in any neuro bookshelf.

This is a very readable book on neuroimaging. Nicely divided into sections eg- trauma, tumor, head and neck, etc. Good quality images. Short bulleted text with some key facts on the opposite page makes for a quick read.
