Star Wars Omen
The entire time reading this novel I knew the Sith would be returning back into the Galaxy. Daala trying to coral the Jedi but taking advice from an aid was eerily familiar and I thought great another hidden Sith trying to destroy the Jedi typical rehashing old story lines. Well I was...so far... wrong. The Sith do come back into the Galaxy in force and it was an interesting way to do so and ...

An important resource!
Just like my copy of Animal Speak, Nature Speak has come loose at the binder and has separated into several different sections now from so much use! As a shamanic practitioner and teacher, Nature Speak is opened and perused and read and reread at least 20 times per week. This resource is a must to own as you will want to look things up over and over again along your spiritual journey. As an ...

clever and funny, as to be expected from Gaiman / Pratchett
Neil Gaiman (American Gods: A Novel, Coraline [Mass Market Paperback]) and Terry Pratchett (Wintersmith, The Wee Free Men (Discworld)(Discworld)) are witty, clever and funny. A collaboration of the two, therefore is a "can't miss." In _Good Omens_, the world is soon coming to an end - the Anti-Christ is born, the Four Horsemen are convening and the End Times are upon us. But what if an angel ...

Excellent addon resource
James has been in the WoW addon field for years and his addons are second to none. Back a few years ago he took the time to help me with my first addon and I appreciated the help. I owned the first book and happy to add this one to my library. The books are well written and contain the information you need to begin writing your own addons and more. They are excellent reference books that ...

Level headed approach to an exciting yet typically over blown topic
In the last 3 yrs or so I have become fascinated with what is happening in world, and how it relates to the 2nd Coming of Christ to the Earth. This book gives a very straight forward and insightful approach to tackling this topic. The Author presents each of the 65 signs in 1 of 3 categories. 1. Fulfilled, 2. Being fulfilled 3. Yet to be fulfilled. It's surprising how little is yet to be ...

An Amazing Rebound
"Omen of The Stars, Fading Echoes" is a new era in the Warriors series. Finally Firestar is no longer the mindless drone he became in The New Prophecy, and I now begin to feel that Jayfeather is not as shallow as I originally suspected. Lionblaze begins to have feelings for a cat in his clan. Dovepaw struggles with problems of her own, including the feeling that her powers will end her ...

Thought-Provoking
I was not going to read this book after receiving it as a gift because too many religious books deal with the Apocalypse and what will happen in the future based on wild, subjective interpretations of biblical verse. While thumbing through the pages I found this to be, in my opinion, fact-based and well-researched. The parallels between natural and man-made disasters and events surrounding the ...

A New Outlook On Warriors
When I started reading this book I had very low expectations. This was because the Power of Three books had ended on such a low and sad note (Hollyleaf dies). But, as I started reading I quickly realized how much this series needed Hollyleaf's death to kick off the series. This is the type of book where the reader starts loving it in the first chapter. The Summary: Still grieving over the ...

Still an excellent read for a look inside presidential campaigning
An excellent report on the inside of presidential campaigns and as fresh today as when it was written--politics and politicians never change, at least, not for the better. The novelistic style of this documentary gives the subject a lot of pop.

Wake up call
Omens of Millennium is a personal and erudite synthesis of Gnosticism, Hermetism, Sufism, and Jewish Kabbalah (and Emersonism). Prof. Bloom writes with the conviction of a "believer" and the rigor of a disinterested scholar. I first read this book three years ago and since then I have come back to it in many occasions. Omens of Millennium is a wake-up call to Knowledge. The book also introduced ...

Mainly the Time of Troubles, but also entertainers in Bardek
For those unfamiliar with the series, it is told in a nonlinear, braided style, alternating between the 'present day' with Jill and Rhodry, and various narrative threads in the past. Characters who fail to learn lessons in a current life are reborn to work through their problems until the souls involved finally get it *right* - so characters can die, and tragically, and only the magicians of the ...

Hang on to your Harley!
I was pretty captivated by Neil Gaiman's The Graveyard Book, so when I saw this book, I really wanted to listen to it. I loved it! Being a Christian, I wondered how this book would make me feel, but I was totally entertained. You've GOT to have a sense of humor about it, certainly! I thought the narrator was fantastic. Because I had not read the book prior to my listening to it, I didn't have ...

Amazing Cards
Ted Andrews did a wonderful job with these oracle cards. I read some of the negative reviews about the texture of the cards and photos. I too was not too impressed by the photos at first. Do not let this stop you from purchasing a deck. I have found that I prefer the thiner cards because they are much easier to shuffle. I believe I am able to share more of my energy with the card, because of the ...
Falnama: The Book of Omens
Serpil Bagci

Whether by consulting the position of the planets, casting horoscopes or interpreting dreams, the art of divination was widely practised throughout the Islamic world. The most splendid tools ever devised to foretell the future were illustrated texts known as the "Falnama" ("Book of Omens"). Notable for their monumental size, brilliantly painted compositions and unusual subject matter, the manuscripts, created in Safavid Iran and Ottoman Turkey ...

REFERENCE BOOK!
I loved this book. Especially the part with all of the signs and omens in the back that tells you the meanings of them all. I find myself contantly looking up things that come across my path on a daily basis. It never sees my book shelf as I can never put it away that long! Do yourself a favor and get this book. You will find it highly enlightening!

Robert W. Walker, 2009
Omen-Inspired thrills
Walker's entry in the 1980's satanism craze, when every other horror novel seems to be about the devil or the devil's son. This one centers on a Salem witch cult, and is good for some prurient thrills.
