Planning and Execution
While the ultimate message put forth in this book is about executing your plans and how to go about that, it is very much based on what needs to be done first - and that is Planning, Goal-Setting. Without this foundation in place first, any actions in business will be haphazard, directionless and misguided. Six Principles Execution Revolution is an excellent business source that offers some ...

Hilarious
I read "Are you there Vodka, It's Me Chelsea?" and loved it so much that I immediately ordered "My Horizontal Life". Chelsea has a brilliant way of telling stories that makes you fell like you are out having a drink with a close friend. Not one to pass on to my grandma but definitely all of my girlfriends!

Moving, Very Well Written
I recently started a book club and this was our first pick. It could not have been a better choice. Everyone had it read in plenty of time. No complaints on the choice I made either. This book tells a very emotionally charged story. Once I started reading it, I was constantly stealing time to read, until it was finished. Hope there is a part II.

Classic advice
The subhead reads "A Guide to the Pieces Every Stylish Woman Must Own." This book delivers. Author Garcia makes it clear that this list is HER list, and that every woman will have a somewhat different collection of apparel essentials. But this is a good place to start. The list is in alphabetical order (see below). Each listing has a description and full-color illustration of the item. Many ...

Couldn't put it down!
I was shocked when I logged on to Amazon and saw so many snarky, bitter reviews; I expected this book to have a solid five star rating. I do a lot of reading and it not every day that I find a book so engrossing, so honest, so profound, and so funny that I clear my schedule in order to plow through it. To all those mean-spirited reviewers, my question is: if you hated the book so much, why did ...

One can make a difference
This is an incredible story of how one man was inspired through the events surrounding a mountaineering failure to attempt and achieve what was otherwise thought impossible. Greg Mortenson has not only built and financed a school in one of the poorest and most remote parts of Pakistan, he has done it with grace and respect that is lacking from so many humanitarians in the world. Furthermore he ...

Amazing
I can only say what has already been said about Batman: Year One. It is a great revamp of Batman's origin and a great story all around. It is a perfect inroduction to the Batman universe if you never read anything previously. People who have seen the movie Batman Begins will see similarities while reading this story. Batman: Year One stands the test of time as a great origin story for one of the ...

Amazing book and Fantastic Shipping, Amazon!
This book is simply amazing, very easy to follow and learn. It explains basic concepts, and has some useful material - in the book as well as online - that will help you. I frankly didn't even need the study guide; I thought the book by itself was great for me. The authors have taken a lot of trouble with detailing and giving examples, for someone new to finance to pick up on. There are chapters ...

The real heroism of our armed forces
This book has a beautiful grit and honesty. Fick doesn't talk up or down to the reader. He doesn't glorify or embellish the life of a marine. He doesn't judge or condemn politicians, military or brass, his superiors or his troops. He just tells his story, in a clear, resonant, powerful voice. The simplicity of his style conveys the clarity of a marine's values - honor, loyalty, duty, having ...

Laugh Out Loud Funny & Great Insight Into Life
This is the first Sedaris book I've read and I want to read all his others ASAP. I literally laughed out loud through many of the autobiographical essays. While reading at a hotel pool on vacation, I had to get up and move away from all the other people, so I wouldn't disturb them with my uncontrollable laughter. Sedaris' "worldview" is quirky but accurate. His life experiences are often ...

Excellent textbook for gaining an understanding of Finance
This text book is an excellent resource for understanding Financial Management. It was a required text in my MBA program and the book is easy to go through on your own. There are exercises, or self tests, at the end of each section in the chapters, as well as many types of problems and self test questions at the end of the chapters. We had a mediocre teacher in my MBA program, so going ...

A Hard Look at Ourselves...Needed !!!!!
It's been a thought-provoking and interesting book so far. It asks a lot of questions of me that dig pretty deep into my thoughts and feelings - and motivations. Am I trustworthy? Do I have true, real honesty? Can I be relied upon? Do I surround myself with others who are trustworthy? Am I working on my ethics and honesty to be a better and happier person? Lots of things about ourselves ...

This product is by far the undisputed standard for learning how to read, write & speak arabic. I will suggest this manual to every couple, especially the newly wed, even before suggesting any "how to ..my babie". I wish I had this book 40 years ago, most of my troubles would have never come. Many manuals out there, such "How to satisfy your woman/man" and such are just the mechanics of human relation, this is its soul. Matter of fact I will bring a copy to Italy next May to two newly wed ...
