Excellent
I am a physiatrist specialized in musculoskeletal pain from Lima, Peru, and I can say that this book is a wonderful review of rehabilitatión in orthopaedic surgery. It has plenty of protocols very useful as guides of our treatments. Of course each patient is different and each pathology has its unique features, but after a careful medical evaluation one can fit the protocol for every individual ...

Invaluable resource
I am an R.N. and work as a consultant in a law firm. Most of my hospital experience was in obstetrics so personal injury and worker's compensation cases were a challenge. I called a friend who works for a local orthopedist. He recommended Blauvelt's and Nelson's "A Manual of Orthoppaedic Terminology". It has been a tremendous resource for me. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who ...

Excellent, concise reference
Geared for anyone who is needing constant reference to numeric tolerences for orthopaedic fractures. A must have for orthopaedic residents, but very applicable for med-students, Attendings or anyone needing a good reference guide. It's small and portable, this is definitely a 5 star buy for the price.

Basic Orthopaedic Biomechanics and Mechano-Biology, 3rd ed.

Lippincott Williams & Wilkins

Good theory plus research book.
This textbook does a fair job of covering the signifigant aspects of Bio-Mechanics. It is interesting that the chapters cover some theory of the subject and some current research summaries. If you are looking for a text on just the "engineering/math" aspects, this book may have too many other topics included. But for someone interested in seeing how the discussed concepts (bone generation, ...

neurology illustrated
This is without doubt one of the best illustrated and presented publications I have ever read. Presenting a complicated subject in such a marvellously illustrated fashion which is so brilliantly thought of makes me congratulate the author on his superb teaching technique. It really is a masterpiece of presentation and should be read by all clinicians dealing with its topics.

Great but very expensive book
I believe all hospital libraries should hold a copy of this excellent book. The price is rather steep for an individual and therein lies my only crib against this book. I had to fork over almost a month's pay to get my copy. On to what I think of the content. Clear descriptions aided with crisp colour drawings make most exposures a breeze. This is an ideal book to look through before stepping ...

Excellent companion for non-trauma ortho surgeon
As a sports medicine fellowship trained Ortho, I consider this text an excellent reference when on-call. While certainly not a substitute for a fracture text, it provides an excellent quick review before big cases. It is filled with set-up tips and pitfalls. The pics are very high quality. The only negative is the price, but it is the same for all the "Masters" texts. Anyway, at least it's ...

Stedman's Orthopaedic & Rehab Words
This book is wonderful. I recommend highly to anyone who does orthopaedic/rehab dictation. I ordered a copy for my partner who had little medical terminology knowledge and she has found it more than beneficial. It is extremely well cross-referenced and an asset to any transcriptionist's library. Thanks Stedman!

Excellent purchase for residents and Attendings
This book is part of a series that is a `must have' for all orthopaedic and neurological surgeons interested in spinal surgery. It is a highly organized and comprehensive review of the major techniques used in spinal surgery today. There are numerous figures that correspond exceptionally well to the text, which greatly enhances visualization of the techniques.

Excellent evidence based text.
From the introduction of basic concepts such as likelihood ratios and predictive values to the simple table format with the always beautiful Netter illustrations, this is the ortho exam text to have. I just hope the next edition is being planned to keep pace with new research. Thank you to Joshua Cleland for putting this together for us.
