Pain Freedom
Written by an author who has suffered with chronic pain himself, Pain Free: A Revolutionary Method for Stopping Chronic Pain takes a specific stand on why you're hurting and what you should do about it. In a nutshell, the idea is that chronic pain is due to imbalances in the body- mainly those of posture and alignment, which can be corrected through proper motions the book calls "E-cises". ...

very helpful book
Esther's book is excellent in every way in helping one understand the basics of good posture. The cross-cultural photographs are fascinating and one's body can "feel" the rightness of thses natural ways of sitting, standing, walking that are almost completely lost in our culture. The instructions in the book are excellent and complete, and I was able to use the book to start making powerful ...

Pain Free 1-2-3
Dr. Teitelbaum is an authority on pain, in my opinion. This book is a main reference in my library. There are so many ways to help the pain, and I think he's covered just about every one of them. I highly recommend this book to anyone in any kind of pain. Even if you don't have any of the specific pains he mentions (I don't know how, but I suppose it's possible--he does cover a huge array of ...

Extremely helpful book
I purchased this book because I am having multiple aches and pains in my low back and in my neck, accompanied by headaches. I was expecting yet another generalized run-of-the-mill stretching exercise book and I was so very pleasantly surprised! (I had checked this book out of my local library prior to purchasing, so I knew ahead of time how wonderful it was.) I especially like the variety of ...

I cannot believe how good this book works! If you follow the program as specified, it works miracles! I have actually cancelled a steroidal lumbar puncture that was scheduled for my back pain because this book decreased it so much! I cannot get over my newly-improved flexibility; not to mention my lack of pain!!! This book was worth every penny! I have told all of my friends about it!!

The Truth about Chronic Pain--read it and see for yourself
I was healed of back pain blamed on a herniated disc when I applied what I learned from Dr. John Sarno, who is Dr. Brady's mentor. Came across this book at the library as I was checking out other mind/body books. If you are in pain and tired of the usual NSAIDS, physical therapy, etc. which do not work for you, read this book and apply it. Stress and how it affects the body is finally ...

The authors discuss various symptoms and when you should be concerned that it might be something serious. A great book and it works!
First of all, I do not know Dr. Sopher as the last reviewer suggests about the other two reviewers. I totally agree with the second review. I first read Dr. John Sarno's books, but then found this one and it is easier to read and understand. As crazy as the ideas sound, they do work. Your mind definitely influences your body. I had severe back pain a few years ago when I saw Dr. Sarno on ...

I realized that I really didn't know a lot about saddles and how they related to my horses. So when I saw this book and the fact that it was written by a DVM, I decided to try it. I was not a bit disappointed. The illustrations are very helpful and clear. The text is easy to understand and explains how each saddle part affects the horse and the possible problems that a bad fit or broken saddle ...

Compatible with Hanna Somatics
I found this book to be a fantastic addition to Thomas Hanna's Somatics but not a substitute. I highly recommend both books. I have done the Egoscue method. Egoscue has great information about how the body is suppose to be aligned but their stretching and passive exercises take a lot of time. I got faster results and the mind/body connection with the active exercises of Somatics.
