Great Story
I was a HUGE fan of 52, which is what first introduced me to Booster Gold. With that in mind, and also glancing at some of the other reviews, I had no doubts that I was getting a great book in 52 Pick-Up. I was not let down. Just like 52, Booster's story is humorous, yet still manages to protray a relatively serious plot. The great thing about this book is that it is basically a trip through ...

Good book
I liked the book. However I would like to add my own thoughts. Personally I've found that the easiest way to strike up a conversation with a girl is to join it rather than start it. If your target is in the middle of a conversation with someone else, casually walk by and stop to ask a question because you overheard something about the topic of discussion that intrigued you. It works for me.

Great Book
I love all the Hank books, and this is a great one for the Christmas season. These books are hilarious and more important to the young reader, fun to read. I'd also check the rest of the series. Author of "Hobo Finds A Home" editor "Of A Predatory Heart"

Great, plus a surprising treat
In this area of noir, I suggest starting with Raymond Chandler. If you've whipped through his books, like me recently, as well as those of Micky Spillane and Dashiell Hammett, then you are definitely ready for this collection and its partner volume of crime novels from the '30s and '40s. I need to mention, in particular, a real treasure in this collection, which is The Real Cool Killers by ...

Truly for everyone
I began golfing some 20 years ago with a handful of lessons from my father and a lot of time on the course with my childhood friends who knew no more about the game than I did. Looking back, "Golf, Naked" would have been the ideal tool to learn the nuances of the game, particularly the etiquette that may have been missing from my game as a youth. Today, as a more seasoned player, I still find ...

Absolute a fun book to read. Lots of fascinating facts and funky pictures and illustrations. However, this book is more suitable for older kids. This organization may be a bit too confusing for younger ones.

Wonderful advice on avoiding financial disputes with friends and family!
We all face problems with friends and relatives in borrowing and lending money. Bequests and gifts can also lead to acrimony that shatters families and friendships. This book explains, with humor, common sense, and the results of well-thought out surveys, how to resolve those issues and, more importantly, how to avoid them in the first place. It's a perfect book to gain knowledge as well as skills,,,,
There are many reasons for having this book but let me relate to you what only two points did for me: Gradually I became stressed. I found it hard to concentrate on anything, even the things I once enjoyed -- Even watching a movie became a task. I was too tense to concentrate, which made it hard to remember anything. I avoided people because even talking became stressful. I became so tense at ...

Classic!!!
I have read heaps of these type of books and wasn't expecting much but this is a CLASSIC. Very funny. Unique concept, original. Very cleverly written. can be chauvanistic in parts and is definitely NOT politically correct. One for the boys. Go Sammy Slapperelli!!!

A very good read
I enjoyed this book enormously. The plot is tight and well-crafted, and the characters are engaging, well-drawn, and well-developed. The main character develops (in about 48 hours) from a green, but clever, boy, into a charming, intelligent, young man, with a clear idea of who he is, and what he seeks in life. There's a rather sweet love-story, interesting bad guys, and a suspenseful crime ...

Humor and Laughter Happens
Nardi Campion, a prolific NH writer, gives the aging process a light and humorous observation as she ages. On the other side of 65, I laughed my way through the book because I can relate to what Nardi tells us. She is enjoying her later years in a beautiful community, most familiar to a lot of people--Lebanon near the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hospital. Her abandonment of driving gave me ideas to ...

I read this book at the Children's Story Hour in our town. This is the first Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle I read to the children. They were on the edge of their seats, laughing and participating! They begged me to bring more Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle stories. I have and they just as big a success!

In one word - Marvelous. Right when I got It it was a breeze using it. From the ime that you open it, to the time that it's covered in car grease and not ledgable anymore, its a truck owners bible. Not for Women Only
Although "Bluesbusters" might seem to target women, I found a lot of great stuff in it. It's actually FUN to read...who wants to wade through a tome when you're down in the dumps? The chapters are short and upbeat. I'd call it an "emotional first-aid kit," and think it would be good for everyone to have. Even if you're not in a funk, it's packed with feel-good activities. I did a search, ...
