Life Saver
This book has helped us to get a better routine in place for our 3-1/2 girl to go to bed. It use to be a battle every night to get her to bed but now she walks herself to her room and usually within 20 minutes of reading and resting she is asleep. Even if she does not want to go to bed she will still walk up on her own and climb into bed. She is very excited and proud to put a sticker on her ...

tasty recipies!
I first thought this book was a waste since alot of the information was redundant. Then I tried some of the recipies and loved it. Alot of tasty recipies that make you feel like you are eating healthy without sacraficing a great meal with great taste. I altered some recipies to my own taste while still keeping it low fat. My family has no idea on how much healthier they are eating!

A complex metaphor that makes an excellent point
While it is all a complex metaphor for many of the problems leading to incompetent business management, the leadership pill is an idea where the point is well understood and is an excellent one. The premise is that all of the qualities that make a good manager have been discovered and concentrated into a pill. Of course, the business world in general considers it the best of all possible quick ...

Rambling, operatic and much more than "Chick Lit"
On the back of the book, there is a quote by a reviewer who spouts that most tired of cliches "I literally couldn't put it down" or something liked that. For once, I'd have to agree wholeheartedly - 450 pages and never a dull moment. The prose is lively, sensitive and articulate. The story itself - the trials and tribulations of three women in the entertainment industry over a 20 year period - ...

He heard the sound of his own drummer
The man is no longer here so its necessary to give him the benefit of the doubt. Brautigan was in the long tradition of American originals. Thoreau defined it as the person who can't walk in step with the others because he 'hears the sound of his own drummer'. Brautigan put a number of things together. A kind of clearness in telling about what he was seeing right before him. A kind of whimsical ...

MY FIRST 5-STAR BOOK REVIEW
This is the first book I have ever given a 5-star review. No other medical ailment, except perhaps cancer, is more subject to misinformation and pure chicanery than back pain. Yet here is a guy who makes his living doing back surgery, yet thinks his specialty is overused, and that in most cases you can solve your problem just by maintaining healthy weight and doing aerobic exercises. The ...
