Poppleton in Spring
Another gem from Cynthia Rylant! Great blend of sweet and silly. My six year old can read some of it, but it is neither simplistic nor boring (like so many "early readers").

great value teaching for kids, and funny for parents too
My daughter loves these books, and always asks me to find more. They combine a quirky personality with good solid values, giving food for discussion as well as a chance to laugh together. The language is also quite simple and so my daughter is attempting to read it herslef. Warmly recommended.

As always, Poppleton is a joy to read
This latest book of Poppleton is just as sweet and gentle as the others, and it is easy reading for my 2nd grader. You can't go wrong with this book. "The Bust" chapter is the funniest with Cherry Sue, in which Poppleton wants to sculpt a bust of Cherry Sue, but can't remember what she looks like. "The Icicles" chapter in which he meets a clumsy little finch, Patrick, and the "Sleigh Ride" are ...

Anthony, Janae, Danielle, and Nicholas LOVE Poppleton books!
Our names are Anthony, Janae, Danielle, and Nicholas. We are 2nd graders from Lockport, NY. We have read all of the Poppleton books with Ms. Fletcher. The book we liked best is Poppleton in Fall. The characters are Poppleton, Cherry Sue, and Zacko. Anthony's favorite part is when Poppleton stormed out the door. Janae's favorite part is when Poppleton went to the pancake breakfast. ...

Wonderful Book
I love this book as well as the whole series and so does my daughter! She has been enjoying this particular book for only a few weeks now, but has loved many of the other books in the series since she was about 15 months old. It is perfect for bedtime and the characters are so lovable. I highly recommend buying this book as well as all the other books in the series.

Sweet and entertaining
My 4-year-old daughter loves this book. It has three stories, each on a different topic. She insists we read all three each time, and they are not long so it's OK. The language rolls off the tongue and is fun to read aloud. Pictures are cute, and characters whimsical and sweet. She also is learning about the concept of a Table of Contents because the three stories are listed there.

We love Poppleton!
My 5 year old and I loved this book. The 3 stories made us laugh out loud and the pictures are adorable. We will definitely read the other Poppleton books.

Among The Best In A Classic Series
Cynthia Rylant's three early-reader series (Henry and Mudge, Mister Putter and Tabby, and Poppleton) are almost uniformly excellent, but Poppleton has always been my particular favorite. They have a slightly off-kilter feeling to them that makes me smile (and my daughter laugh out loud) even on the fifth or sixth time through. The second and third stories in _Poppleton Everyday_, in which Our ...
