Amazing book for first-time pregnancy
I recently found out that I was 6-weeks pregnant, and my first thought was, "What's the most informative book I can have to guide me through these 9 months?" I blindly stumbled on this book, and I am so relieved! Considering I forgot to ask my friends and family on advice for which books I should purchase and use as my bible, I (thank GOD) didn't buy What to Expect When Expecting, and instead, ...

Loved this organizer!
I kept track of everything in this organizer, from OB appointments (including all information on what was covered in the appointment) to important dates on the calendar to contractions to diaper checks to gift lists to items to purchase. It had handy spots to put my ultrasound printouts and a pocket in back for keepsake documents. I am a first time mother and I'm still using it often with the ...

Wow! Impressive photos AND dialouge!
I hesitated to buy this book because I heard some of the negative reviews, such as "the Nielson book is better" and "the images are fake, clay". However, I found it is more MUCH more informative and interesting than "A Child Is Born". It is modern, cleverly written, and really worthwhile as a coffe table book or baby shower gift. The format of the book is mostly photograph/art, with small ...

Worth the time to read
After reading some of the negative reviews, I felt compelled to write my own. In my first pregnancy, I did find the book hard to follow in some places (and yes it could be organized better), and I did not use it. Now in my second preganacy, and in hindsight I greatly regret not taking the time to actually read it and use it. I have searched for other books, and have found some that seem better ...

best pregnancy book out there
I am a Pilates teacher who recently has three pregnant students. I reviewed many books from my library system and found this one of the absolute best value and advice. Be careful what you read can be extremely contradictory with pilates(which works the abdominal muscels) and pregnancy. This book is sensible and safe. You will certainly get your moneys worth. It is a great reference book for ...

Excellent for Childbirth Education Classes!
I love this deck! I am a certified childbirth educator and this prenatal yoga deck is one of my favorite resources for my classes. Almost every pose has specific pregnancy or labor/birth related benefits. I put together a series of 6-8 poses from the deck that I use as an opening exercise in my classes--people often learn better by actually *doing* something and practicing the yoga poses together ...

The Bradley Method (Student Workbook)

Very Helpful
My husband and I used this book in our Bradley Birthing Class and it was excellent! I definately recommend it to all women wanting a natural, healthy, un-complicated birth. This workbook is usually included with the cost of your Bradley Birthing class, so check with your teacher before ordering. Also, this book is most effective when used in conjunction with a Bradley Birthing Class.

If you are pregnant, you need this book!
I have been an avid gym goer for most of my adult life. However, I had questions about what I could continue once I found out I was pregnant; everyone has differing opinions, and I was getting caught in the middle! This book is highly insightful, and gives much more than just a few exercises for pregnancy. It explains how you are feeling during pregnancy, what to expect while your body ...

a great find
I felt this was a perfect book for expectant mothers and their massage therapists. It gives great insite to pregnancy for first time mothers and therapists who are trying to gain more knowledge on the subject. It gives you overviews throughout the book about other cultures and their traditions. This is definately one to have in your library.

A "must have" for obstetrical practitioners.
This book is an absolute "must have" for obstetrical practitioners and expectant parents who are looking for a way back into normal childbirth. Medicalized obstetrics has taught their students and society that "techno-birth" is not only logical but safe. This book proves that the way we have been delivering babies for the past 40 years is not the safest most competent care we can give. Hopefully, ...

Infertility info alone worth the purchase
Before I had read this book or been introduced to the "Right For Your Type" diet concept, I followed something very close to what D'Adamo advocates for my type. After 5 years of infertility, we conceived our baby daughter. Now that I have read the author's other books, I am not surprised to see that his recommendations can help infertile couples conceive and help those with recurring ...

I can honestly say that I have purchased about 15-20 books regarding PPD in the last year and this book has been the most informative, encouraging and beneficial to me, along with being easy to read.
