The Real ACT Prep Guide: The Only Official Prep Guide From The Makers Of The ACT (Real Act Prep Guide)9 reviews
ACT Inc.

Peterson's, 2007

ACT book EXCELLENT
The Real ACT book is one of the best books of its kind. I teach SAT and ACT prep, and this book not only is well formatted with REAL ACT problems (by the test-makers), but the book gives the fullest explanations of the correct and incorrect answers that I have ever seen. I'm using it exclusively in my classes. Parents looking to help their kids get prepared should buy NO OTHER BOOK. Robert ...

PMP Exam Prep, Fifth Edition: Rita's Course in a Book for P the PMP Exam310 reviews
Rita Mulcahy

RMC Publications, Inc., 2005

Well worth every penny!
I purchased this book on the advice of a colleague when they head I was taking a PMP Bootcamp class in prep for taking the exam. Rita strongly suggests you read the book at least twice (which I did) and used again as a study guide after I completed the 40 hour PMP Bootcamp Class. If you want to understand 'context' and where/how process and knowledge areas fit together together THIS is the book ...

The Official Guide for GMAT Quantitative Review24 reviews

Graduate Management Admission, 2005

Excellent Preparation Book for the GMAT
It has been seven years since I have been out of college. My math skills are very rusty. The Quanative Review is the best book to get because it is written by the GMAT Staff. Each question comes with an explanation of how the problem is solved. The book is broken down into sections with complete explanations. I am not good at math at all and there are over 300 problems to solve from basic ...

Kaplan GMAT Premier Program, 2009 (Book & CD-ROM)16 reviews
Kaplan

Kaplan Publishing, 2008

Kaplan's GMAT 2009 review
The book is quite helpful in giving little tips when taking/studying the GMAT exam. It does also provide some insight into what the test is looking for, but it definitely is not the end of all for GMAT prep books.

Kaplan GRE Exam 2009 Premier Program (w/ CD-ROM) (Kaplan Gre Exam (Book & CD-Rom))18 reviews
Kaplan

Kaplan Publishing, 2008

Delivery
Well, since feedback came timely, I have to say that my book got shredded by my labrador retriever as soon as it got delivered. Lyla was in the garage due to re-modeling at the back of the house. Perhaps packages of this magnitude should be confirmed upon delivery, perhaps not. Thank you! Best wishes, Kevin Liu

FE Review Manual: Rapid Preparation for the General Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (F E Review Manual), 2nd ...96 reviews
Michael R. Lindeburg

Professional Publications, Inc., 2006

An excellent preparation tool
Give yourself about 3 months (or more) and go through the entire book. Follow the author's instructions on how to use the manual. If you go through each chapter and do the questions, you will pass the FE. The format and level of complexity are a spot on match to the test. Time is a factor with this method, it is about 3 inches thick, so don't wait until you have 3 weeks left to study. Pay ...

GRE: Practicing to Take the General Test 10th Edition (Practicing to Take the Gre General Test)89 reviews
Educational Testing Service

Ets/Educational Testing Service, 2002

Outstanding Study Tool
If you intend to take the GRE, you'd be silly not to get this book. It's written by ETS, the body responsible for the GRE. It's a book filled with old tests plus explanations of every single answer. I have also have the Princeton Review general guide and this is great to use in tandem. This is a knockout buy.

Cracking the AP U.S. History Exam, 2008 Edition (College Test Prep)2 reviews
Princeton Review

Princeton Review, 2008

easy to use and effective
This book is great for those of us who are too busy or can't concentrate on our textbooks. This book helped me a lot in my APUSH class because it's much easier to read and much shorter than the textbook. The questions for each section should tell you what you understand or do not understand in that section. You can use it as an indicator on what part of your textbook you need to read more ...

Cracking the SAT, 2009 Edition (College Test Prep)2 reviews
Princeton Review

Princeton Review, 2008

Super Helpful and actually fun too!
This 2009 SAT book that i bought about a month ago, has been exteremely helpful! I'm a freshman high school, but wanted a head start on studying for the SAT, thus my parents purchased this latest edition SAT book. I honestly thought it would be boring, but the makers of the book make it very fun! They explain everything with easy step-by-step instructions without the use of big words, and they ...

Barron's GRE: Graduate Record Examination29 reviews
Sharon Weiner Green, Ira K. Wolf

Barron's Educational Series, 2007

Excellent Review Book!
I've never been moved to write a review before, but this book has influenced me to do so. I hadn't taken a math class for five years before I took the GRE, so I was incredibly worried. On the diagnostic test I scored around a 400. Not so great. Thanks to this book, in less than two weeks I was able to boost my math score to a 680 when I took the real test. I'm sure I could've done even ...

Cracking the AP World History Exam, 2008 Edition (College Test Prep)6 reviews
Princeton Review

Princeton Review, 2007

Superb review and accurate practice tests, but lacks practice questions
I took the 2008 AP World History exam. To study for it, I read Kaplan's, Barron's, and Princeton Review's AP World History review. Of the three, I'd say Princeton Review offers the best history review. Kaplan's was skimpy, and Barron's was more of a textbook than a review. Not only is the Princeton Review book really organized, it also contains numerous compare and contrast essays (e.g. fall of ...
