Great book!
What I especially love about this cookbook, is you don't have to go search for unusual ingredients (like digging up buckwheat flour, or some other substitute). It works with commonly available ingredients in your grocery store.

Informative and practical
I am very happy with this book. I was more interested in improving my nutrition rather than weight loss. It is informative and an easy read. But in addition to this, it provides a lot of practical information: fiber content in different foods; recipes and sample meal plans. It couldn't be easier to follow.

In The Shock Doctrine, Naomi Klein's primary purpose is to challenge the assumption that Milton Friedman-style deregulated capitalism has taken hold around the world through freedom and democracy. In gripping fashion, she exposes this notion as false and reveals the true methods employed by the corporatist elites. Powerful multinational corporations, along with their representatives in ...

Brothers: The Hidden History of the Kennedy Years

Finally some answers . . .
This is the most riveting account of the Kennedy assassinations I have read to date. Mr. Talbot meticulously documents and cross references his information and sources. This book is a disturbing wake up call to Americans about the danger of rogue agencies, an overly powerful military complex, and the vulnerability of any president who is morally, intellectually, and psychologically determined to ...

Filled with solid advice
Every American eats an average of 5 and a half POUNDS of sugar a month. No, you say. Not me. Oh yeah? Start counting. This book is a must for those who would understand the role sugar plays in our lives and how our society has been turned into the fattest in the world through the food industry's inclusion of high-fructose corn syrup in almost everything it sells. The Pirate's Dilemma: How Youth Culture Is Reinventing Capitalism

Matt Mason

Good for outsiders of the movement
This book is slightly maddening. The intention is valid: to steer people towards thinking about piracy in a new light. The "pirate's dilemma" is whether to persecute and shut down piracy, or to recognize it as a kind of creative competition. If you can't beat them, join them. The thrust of Mason's argument can be summarized by the two models of music industry approaches to P2P file sharing: ...

Author is a Marshall Fan
I have read several Bio's of for each of these men, but never one which covered all 3 before. The books author is quite comprehensive in detailing the professional lives of all 3 generals from the 1930's forward. Author definitely is fond of Gen. Marshall, lukewarm on Eisenhower, and clearly dislikes MacArthur. With Mac and Ike the details of their foibles and errors come through clearly in ...

Our Power is in Our Thoughts
Based very much on the principles of the Law of Attraction...which in essence tells us that, that which we focus on, think about is what we draw into our lives. This book does a wonderful job pointing out the need to live in the now; consciousness is the key. I do beleive that our thoughts are the tools to manifest our desires. A great practical guide to keep you living a conscious life is Living ...

An EXCELLENT Investment!
Wow, what a surprising book! I love the physicality of it, but the content is really what one buys books for and this one won't let you down. The author makes it easy to skim-find what content you're looking for through the presentation of print. He also lets you know that you can skip to the back to cheat to the meat of the matter. I like the style of this author's facilitation of material. It ...

Want More Zippy?
I had read Zippy, and just wanted more, so I bought this book and I loved it, too. I do have to say it's not AS hilarious; there are parts that are just sad, exposing the problems of the family, which weren't as obvious through the eyes of the younger Zippy. Still, I loved it and want to read more, but there's no more. :-(

Say what you will about Dr.Phil, but he does know his stuff. Also, he's got a great prespective on dating and in this book, it shows. I learned a lot and was happy to read this book, which has helped me in numerous ways. I also liked and would suggest another dating book which, along with "Love Smart" has also helped me: Dating Sense: The Practical Way to Meet, Date and Marry the Right Person .
