Useful Though Not Perfect
Working through this book brings back memories of junior high school when I first struggled with many of the concepts covered here. I wish that resources like this had been available back then -- my life would have been easier. I only have a couple of qualms about this volume, which is why I assigned only four stars. First, it has errors that should have been caught before publication, ...

Time to learn your grammar!
These books are so good at helping kids learn the parts of speech. They give so many clear examples of sentences, with the specific part of speech in a different color so everyone will notice it. I used these in a classroom during english class and they all loved it. A+ to this book!

Great help
It is a great help. I use it all the time! English being my second language, I tend to have lots of doubts when trying to use prepositions. I always turn my sentences around, so that I don't have to deal with them too much. This helps me immensely!

Practice Makes Perfect is Perfect!
I'm a MS & HS German teacher and I think this book is a great resource for teaching students or teaching yourself. Each new section begins with an explanation of the grammar concept, followed by several practice exercises. The explanations & exercises are very comprehensive and the answer key is included in the back of the book. I own all three books in the series (Pronouns & Prepositions, Verb ...

Excellent Practice
This workbook finally allows me to practice those frustating pronouns and prepositions in an organized fashion. Though drilling is not usually the best way to learn a language, this book helps alot with remembering the idiosyncrasies (for English speakers) of the Italian pronomi and preposizioni. I am also picking up new vocabulary along the way.

Comprehensive and Easy to Read
I am very pleased with the book. Basically I am a "self-learner' of the Spanish language. As such I find the book to be comprehensive, yet thorough and easy to read and understand. The Practice Makes Perfect series of books on the Spanish language is a great set of books for some one like me.

Guide to Pronouns in the Greek New Testament
Laurence M. Vance
Vance Publications
, 2008
Although every grammar of New Testament Greek has a chapter or section on the declension and use of pronouns, the treatment given to pronouns is in many instances inadequate and confusing. Guide to Pronouns in the Greek New Testament is the ideal supplement to any Greek grammar book. Although it presupposes only a very basic knowledge of New Testament Greek grammar, it is recommended that the author s Guide to Nouns in the Greek New ...
Love, Like Pronouns
Rosmarie Waldrop
Omnidawn Publishing
, 2003
In this collection, Waldrop has dedicated many poems to other writers whom she esteems, and in each poem, echoes subtly that writer's forms, tones, and textures. From this synchronism, Waldrop evolves her own unique mediums of address that suggests a slipperiness in human emotion and in human speech.

Indefinite Pronouns (Oxford Studies in Typology and Linguistic Theory)
Martin Haspelmath
Oxford University Press, USA
, 2001
This book is the first comprehensive and encyclopaedic investigation of indefinite pronouns (expressions like someone, anything, nowhere) in the languages of the world. It shows that the range of variation in the functional and formal properties of indefinite pronouns is subject to a set of universal implicational constraints, and proposes explanations for these universals.

Spanish Pronounds and Prepositions
Well-explained and easy to understand with lots of writing practice. Answers are in the back so you can check what you have done. If I didn't understand a concept, I was able to look at the answers for the first half of each written assignment and then by the end of each section, I had a good understanding. Excellent workbook and source to refer back to - I covered mine in mylar so it will be ...
Pronouns (Oxford Studies in Typology and Linguistic Theory)
Darbhe Narayana Shankara Bhat
Oxford University Press, USA
, 2008
On the basis of a cross-linguistic study of more than 250 languages, this book brings to light several fascinating characteristics of pronouns. Dr Bhat argues that these words do not form a single category, but rather two different categories called 'personal pronouns' and 'proforms'. He points out several differences between the two, such as the occurrence of a dual structure among proforms but not among personal pronouns. These differences are ...
