These books are so good at helping kids learn the parts of speech. They give so many clear examples of sentences, with the specific part of speech in a different color so everyone will notice it. I used these in a classroom during english class and they all loved it. A+ to this book!

A fresh look at God....
Nancy does a great job dispelling misbeliefs about God and what it means to be an authentic Christian. I loved her down to earth writing style and would go out of my way to hear her speak. She shot holes in some of my perspectives through her stories and personal mistakes. Thank you for being real and conveying truth with a twist. I will give it away to people who are looking for a very ...

Practice Makes Perfect is Perfect!
I'm a MS & HS German teacher and I think this book is a great resource for teaching students or teaching yourself. Each new section begins with an explanation of the grammar concept, followed by several practice exercises. The explanations & exercises are very comprehensive and the answer key is included in the back of the book. I own all three books in the series (Pronouns & Prepositions, Verb ...

Incredible Book on the Subjunctive
I've always thought that the Spanish subjunctive was so complicated that it could be covered in a book by itself. I've always hoped for such a book, too. Following is its table of contents: 1. When to use the subjunctive and how to form its four tenses 2. Sequence of tenses and the subjunctive 3. Subordinated noun clauses 4. Subordinated adjective clauses 5. Adverbial expressions 6. ...

Basics and beyond
Advancing within my present employment requires Spanish fluency. To achieve bi-lingual certification, I purchased various Spanish software programs. My progress remained slow. I began to believe that I had no hope of ever going beyond understanding a word or two from each sentence, and hoping I could manage something that made sense in reply. Conjugating verbs was my greatest obstacle until I ...

its about time!
Huffman's work is the first to my knowledge which exposes the fallacies of established grammatical categories and says: the emperor has no clothes. A careful and meticulous scholar, Huffman takes nothing for granted as he tries to take language on its own terms to delineate its categories. Linguists of all stripes would do well to consider his analysis.

Excellent Practice
This workbook finally allows me to practice those frustating pronouns and prepositions in an organized fashion. Though drilling is not usually the best way to learn a language, this book helps alot with remembering the idiosyncrasies (for English speakers) of the Italian pronomi and preposizioni. I am also picking up new vocabulary along the way.

A great book- Puntos de Partida
I have used this book for three years with my students. It is the best Spanish text I have used. I only had the Teacher's edition and the cassettes and it worked marvelously. How much more if I had the other materials: Video, instructor's manual slide, etc. My students love this book. At the moment, I am looking at the Instructor's manual it's very supportive. filling in the spaces
I've found this book very useful. I'm fluent in both English and Spanish so I understand verb conjugation and have a fairly broad vocab. Yet I felt like a three year old grasping to make sentences. This book helps fill in the spaces, making you sound more fluent and boosting confidence. The workbook style is effective in helping you to remember. I would definitely recommend to anyone willing to ...

Not exactly what I expected but still really good.
As with other Schaum's outlines, this one has lots of exercises for students to practice with. I was confused because I thought this book and Schaum's "theory and probs of english grammar" were different. In fact, they are the same (basically), but this one is simply an earlier edition... Perhaps the earliest??
